Why is Malignaggi's performance suffering?

    I think this is Buddy last shot with Paulie. If Paulie struggles again Paulie should fire Buddy but if he does good and beats Hatton Buddy should stay. Paulie got a good chance to beat Hatton and if he does he has a chance to quiet his hater and make more money fights in the future.

    Maybe gaining some fame and having a daily entourage is distracting him from training kind of like Zab Judah.

    I think Malignaggi's hand is causing him problems, and his hair problem was very stupid, but he is a better fighter than we have seen since he won the title.
