Why is Manny Pacquiao The Chosen One of Boxing...???

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BenjaminLinus, Oct 13, 2010.

  1. According to *****s, Pac is an extremely over-hyped, C level fighter with a padded meaningless resume of shot (Hatton), weight-drained (ODLH, Cotto), and paid to lose opponents (Clottey and Margarito).

    :patsch

    My question is...

    WHY...???

Asian-Americans (with the exception of Ichiro Suzuki) have a hard enough time as it is becoming accepted mainstream stars in pretty much anything.

So why Pacquiao? Why this "midget" from the Philippines?

Why not Julio Chavez, who already has a built in name/fan base? Why not Juanma? Why not Yuri Foreman? The Jews own and run everything (this is not a stereotype, just pure awesome fact). Why not build a Latino fighter all the way up to the #1 P4P ranking?

Could it be that Pac is truly a gifted fighter that is this generation's best?

i dont get your question, manny is number one based on his accomplishments, he grew into the fighter he is overtime, if someone else did what he did he would be number one its as simple as that.

because Pac is an overrated/overhyped boxer that was lucky to "slip through the cracks" in boxing, and fought an Old Barrera, Old Morales at the right time, when they were on the tail ends of their careers, which has captured the imagination/interest of other rich Asian countries (China, Japan, etc.), and are now heavily investing and buying into the biggest Asian hype in history.

Thats why Pac is being extremely overprotected by Arum and Oscar, cause they're "milkin-in" Asian $$$$ from all over the world, and are "on a roll" right now.

Chavez, Juanma and Yuri Foreman cannot tap into the Asian market the way Pac is doing right now.

A few years ago, Macau (China) wanted to host a Pacquiao vs. Humberto Soto, or Pac vs. Edwin Valero fight, but Pac chickened-out from either fight, and fought a c-level boxer named Jorge Solis in Texas.

Macau realized that Pac backed down, so they never bought into the hype, as some other Asian countries still do.

But right now, Pac is "hot property" to most of the Asian markets, and Oscar, with Arum will do anything to make sure that pac keeps winning, such as FIXING his fights.

This Pac-Margarito bout is a FIXED FIGHT, just like Pac-Clottey was a FIXED FIGHT.

    sad, but true.:-(

  4. Outside of the Phillipines and maybe parts of Japan, I doubt Pac is even popular/known in places like China/Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand/Korea.

    :patsch

In fact, boxing isn't even that ****ing popular in America, nevermind the international scene (save for maybe Mexico).

    You're full of ****.

also mentioning that he felt double crossed

Here's the truth, benji ol' boy.

Floyd's fans know Pacquiao is good. They know his resume is good. They probably enjoy his fights much more than you can imagine. They also love spinning Pacquiao fans up by the dozen. Stop worrying about it.

  10. "If I didn't have the good defence I have, he would have knocked me out. My defense allowed me to make it to the end of the 12-rounds, but that was not my [sole] intention. But with my [weakened] condition I had to protect myself."

    (interview days after the fight)
“Every time I would punch, he would hit me. He always seemed to know when I was going to hit and that makes it a lot harder… He knew what I was going to do."

    (interview months after the fight)

Dude you really need to get a grip...or even a ****ING CLUE!!! It takes someone who has some kind of Intelligent Rationale to differentiate between Strong Knowledgeable Fight Fans and People spitting out a Bunch on Complete ****ing Nonsense...Kinda' like YOU!!! If a poster (Floyd Fan) puts out some bull**** about a fighter (Pacquiao) that makes absolute NO SENSE...this does not somehow translate into every Floyd fan sharing that same opinion. And for you to put-out that nonsense as if EVERY FLOYD FAN believes that Pacquiao is a HypeJob and/or C-Level fighter....YOU ARE JUST AS DELIRIOUS AND DELUSIONAL AS THEY ARE!!!!

This is exactly what this Forum needs...Another Idiot who knows nothing about the sport, just simply has a hatred for a Fighter (Floyd Mayweather), and continues to create threads with the SAME ****ING THEME..."THE HATRED OF FLOYD MAYWEATHER". With all the fighters, prospects, title holders, fights, events, trainers and the plethora of up-coming huge fights on the horizon...Posters like this clown has a loaded pistol with the SAME AMMUNITION.

And for the record...I can just imagine the pass this poster will get adding race, culture into this thread. yet when other posters do it...GUESS WHAT THEY'RE CALLED??? There was a time when I used to say that the General Forum is becoming a ****ING JOKE!!! Well, IT'S OFFICIAL...THIS FORUM IS ****ING RUINED!!!

fixed or not, pac is more gifted than most these fighters out today....mabey not more than floyd, but its not like nobody's throwing punches.... well, clottey snooze would make alot of sense if it WAS fixed....**** it...as long as we have hot knockout reels that u cant fake, im a happy pappy...so what?? its not like FLOYD never ducked any one...its not likE ANY FAMOUS BOXER NEVER ducked the most dangerous ones..its life.... less risk more pay... so what?? thats why we appreciate boxers who actually DO go through with taking risks....

  14. In the SAME interview where Clottey speaks about the **** he heard in the locker room that no one would believe...

"This is the FIRST TIME that I LOST the fight. That I genuinely lost the fight. I did not lose to Cotto. I lost to Pacquiao."

    :deal:deal:deal:deal:deal:deal

So he's hinting that he was forced to throw the fight while at the same time admitting that he genuinely lost to Pac?

if pacquaio beat an old barrera and morales, at the tail end of they're careers, then which phase of they're careers are they into now? the amir khan opponent phase.
