Why is maravilla martinez "too big" for pac...

For some odd reason, some of you posters seem to think you must weigh in at the MAX of a weight division for it to be legit. Why is that?

 

Haven't you noticed NO ONE even talked about that belt but you guys just to complain? Serioiusly, WTF...are you that worried that SOME people think it's legit? EVeryone in the know, realizes it wasn't much of a belt. Besides, in today's boxing, being a mulit-weight champ has become increasingly easy. Are you going to ***** about ALL whom yo don't think are legit multi-division champs, or just Pac?

 

Without that belt, I liked that fight. It showed us Pac's weight limitation.

 

The weight means nothing to me. Why are you making a big deal out of it? Did it hinder Margarito in any way? Did it DRAIN him? Or did he enter the ring is good, physical condition.

Here's the thing. I stopped giving a **** about the ABC's a long time ago. Way too many stripping of champs for bad reason, horrible fighters getting highly ranked. Three types of 'WBA' champs in a single division? Are you ****in kidding me?

Today's boxing world is WAAY different from even just 15 years ago. Not only more ABC groups popping left and right, but the SAME group can have several 'champs' (WBA as example). ANd the rise of the internet has made almost everything public, that would otherwise be unknown before.

So are yo worried that people will call Pac an 8 division champ, therefore duluting real mulit-weight champs accomplishments? Is that it? Because NO ONE will confuse what Pac did with what Armstrong did. Everyonr who should know understand this is a much different time.

People don't talk about SRL's LtHW title because it's not significant. Nor his SprMW belt. They just aren't significant to his REAL body of work, to which he is judged. Just as no one really talked about Pac's JrMw title. Except those who just want to ***** about it. YOU GUYS give it meaning. Well, maybe you guys and the *******s. Is that the type of company you want?

 

You let personal feelings about fighters cloud your perception of reality. First off, Martinez is even bigger than all of the guys you just listed. He weighs more than they do before a fight and on fight night. Second, if the paragraph I just quoted is how you honestly feel, than you can't turn around and say "size isn't a factor" when breaking down why Marquez got owned against Mayweather in a fight he gave away a lot of size and weight in. If you feel one way about size not matter, and any fighter with better skills beating any larger with lesser skills, then you have to hold firm on that and say Floyd beat Marquez because he's better.

So, which is it, does size matter or not? It goes both ways, can't blast Pacquiao for not doing something you don't expect Marquez to do, especially considering you feel Marquez is better than Pacquiao.

 

Again, dumb****....Clottey was fought at 147lbs. Have Martinez come down to 147lbs, if Pac refuses to fight him there then yes they are ducking. Until he agrees to 147lbs, hell even 150lbs, you have absolutely no argument....NONE!!!

 

Martinez weighed 176 lbs for his 3 week prior to fight weigh-in before his last fight. Which tells you he weighs AT LEAST that before he shows up to camp. He's bigger and thicker than Shane and Margarito and Clottey and Cotto. A blind person could see it.

 

Martinez weigh in at 168 pounds on fight night vs Williams at a 158 pound catchweight. Now if Martinez weighs in on fight night 168 pounds after he weigh 157 pounds, then don't you think at 154 pounds, Martinez on fight night would weigh in at 165 pounds? <<<The same weight as Margarito when he fought Pacquiao? If Pacquiao is the greatest of all times by most ******ed Pacquiao fans and is "REAL" 8th division champion then he should fight Martinez at 154 pounds to prove it. If not then winning that wbc junior middleweight belt is a f4cking disgrace. A freaking joke.

 

Question for ya...While we're talking about this...doesnt Margarito walk around at 170-180 pounds???
