Morales was a shot fighter in that weight class. At 130 pounds Morales basically was like De la hoya. And didn't Morales beat Pacquiao by forcing Pacquiao to wear pillow gloves? If Gloves do not matter as you say then how come Morales beat Pacquiao with both fighters wear pillow gloves but in the rematch and in the 3rd fight, Pacquiao win by ko with Pacquiao wearing reyes gloves? <<<<Weird huh?

The courtesy is extended to Pac. The problem is that the courtesy extended to Mayweather, "a PED enhanced fighter in the ring is dangerous for his opponent and the sport" and the courtesy extended Pacquio, "I don't like needles, superstition, I can't train, he big I small, I want to fight, but I don't want to take the tests, etc..." are on two entirely different levels.

EM wasn't shot....PAC just was the better fighter against a fighter who was SLIPPING...NOT SHOT! DLH wasn't shot either....DLH wasn't at his best but he wasn't shot. DLH wasn't at his best when he lost a split decison to Floyd although I will say Floyd faced the better version of Oscar.

EM beat PAC b/c EM was the better fighter with the better game plan that night. The gloves could have had a physcological effect on Manny but as a fighter its your job to be mentally prepared no matter what distraction comes up.

Again...it could be a physcological effect....PAC mentally is more confident b/c he gets to wear "His" gloves. Boxing is very much a mental sport as well as physical. For some ..it's even more mental.

Brian Neilson at one point was 36 and 0......having a 26-1 record looks good on paper but where is the substance and depth behind what makes up that record. EM was Zahir career defining momemnt. A LOT of fighters from the Olympics DON'T live up to their expectations. Not that they were nto good AM fighter but their AM habits didn't translate into a GOOD PRO Style.

Zahir had the right style to upset EM who was OVERLOOKING him. He was looking PAST Zahir ready to fight PAC in a rematch. He was already counting that money before hte first bell rang for round 1. Zahir took advantage of the sitaution.

Kevin Kelly was every much as good as Junior yet that sloppy Naz KO'd his ass before lining up MAB. MAB most certainly transformed his style from a typical Mexican brawler to a cool, calculated boxer/puncher with great counter punching abilty.

There's a reason MAB is an ATG and Junior is not.
