Haven't you heard that he dumped the 154 belt as soon as he realized he got hurt by Marg at 150 and Arum said that it is his last fight above 147?

^ Yeah Manny doesn't have a belt there, he relinquished it immediately as soon as he realized he doesn't belong there. Same way Floyd immediately dished out his 154 belt he got from DLH after his horrible performance there. I'm surprised people don't know this.

    freddie whack is a whacko.

If Tyson is still active, maybe Pacman should fight him too. Tyson is only 5'11.5".

margo can get to 150 while maravilla according to is very hard for him to get to 154. maravilla's body is accustomed to weight north of 147 as he is fighting on the weight for several years now while margo keeps on fighting 147 just recently fought at weight higher than that.

this is the same case for pac and marquez.

I can see where youre coming from a bit....

    but.

Just because Pac fought a fading and worn Margarito, at 150 (and also adding, that Margarito has never been overly successful or impressive above welter) and showed in that fight that Margaritos size and strength gave him a tough time and he commented as such after the fight....

Not sure how it goes from that, to...

Lets fight the middleweight champ of the world, whos at his best, hitting his peak, knocking out legit light middleweights and who is also considered one of the best p4p fighters in the world, and a guy who wouldnt be able to drop lower then 154, a weight limit that Pac has never even reached.

Margarito was big and strong, and it showed with Pac despite Pacs performence.

Martinez, at this stage, is bigger then Margarito. Thats just a fact. Why? Because Marg can make, and fight strong and effectively, at a weight that Martinez couldnt even hope to make right now while staying strong. Which, Martinez says himself.

Then, add to that, hes a superior fighter right now, and then, add to that that he matches up with Pac better then Marg does even on a p4p sense, and the answer seems obvious.

That added bit of size for Martinez, is amplified by his ability.

I notice Pac is dependant on the straight left if you fight tall or the uppercut if you fight hunched over(Cotto, Marg) to do damage. If he faces a taller opponent and has to punch up he won't have maximum leverage on his shots, which would be a great disadvantage vs. Martinez because of the size difference and Martinez's skills.

So basically Martinez is good, Margarito isn't hence Pac will never fight him. :good

Somehow you're able make it sound like the only reason that Pac doesn't want to fight Martinez is because he's good.

But the fact is that it's not only because he's good (top 3 P4P), but he's around 20 lbs heavier, has a longer reach and is taller. and has 1 punch KO power at Middleweight It's not just 1 factor that makes this a bad fight for Pac, but all factors put together.

    Why they won't fight Martinez..

    - In his prime
    - Technically sound
    - Has power
    - Speed
    - Slickness
    - A dangerous opponent
    - Low reward
    - High Risk

 sure, pac won't fight martinez only because he's good right? it has nothing to do with martinez being the lineal champ in a division 2 weight classes higher than where Pac currently is campaigning at right?

that's like saying Gamboa is showing no interest in fighting JMM because Marquez is too good and not because Gamboa is a featherweight while Marquez is a lightweight.

But hey, if you want to oversimplify things by butchering the English language just for the situation to fit your agenda, go ahead.
