the man? at 147? how is he the man when he wont even face the man who clearly beat him. & at 147? how is he the man at 147 when he weighs like 162!

 

I'll say this very slowly because this hasn't seem to have filtered through to any of the Williams huggers. Aswell as disagreeing with nearly every single post in the history of your time at ESB, I've come to the conclusion that you must be a Williams hugger. It's the only reasonable explanation for giving a warrior like Margarito **** 7 days a week.

Margarito has already fought Williams, a challenge he took when he could have easily decided not to. He came up short that night, but he made a slow start even by his own standards, and he acknowledges this. He has only ever said in press conferences that he will fight whoever Arum tells him to fight, and considering that man is his promoter, it would be his responsiblity for who Margarito fights...not Antonio.

In contrast, of course, to a fighter like Floyd Mayweather Jr. He seems to be his own promoter, and has been making the best business decision for the best part of the last 5 years. Currently in retirement, there are talks of "your boy" coming back into the game to fight a Lightweight when Margarito was a free agent for a good couple of months after destroying Miguel Cotto. If that was Margarito in Floyd's position, it would be fantastic to see how you would react.

Fortunately for me, Margarito never makes a fool out of me, because he has been clearing out at 147 for the best part of three years. Look at all the names on his resume starting from 2006. Clottey, Cintron, Williams, Cotto, and he is now scheduled to fight Mosley, who regardless of talks of him being old, is rated in the top 3 by Ring Magazine and coming off a knockout victory. The fact is, Margarito is a bad man, and if you really have nothing better to do than moan about him not rematching Williams, **** on Arum, not Margarito.

 

A 37 year old Shane Mosley is an easier opponent then Paul Williams at this point in time. Also its a better tune up fight for his next mega fight (rematch with Cotto is somewhat in the works). I'm not saying Margarito would duck Williams but for now Mosley is a better choice, maybe not for boxing fans but for his career.
