I know you weren't addressing me, but I have to interject. (sorry for the "trolling")

This is the problem I have with Arum, and some of Margo's fans. How can someone honestly say he is "the man" when he refuses to avenge a very recent (in boxing terms) loss to someone who is begging him to do it again. It aint even about the money with Paul. He is still vexed :fire because of the ***** move they tried when they wanted to appeal the results... He wants to fight him. -In the ring, on the block, at the strip club, it don't matter.

And for Arum to get up in the ****ing press conference and say that Margo has "faced and defeated everyone at WW" is the ultimate disrespect. And he did that **** on purpose because he knows that Margo fans actually belive that amnesia ****. If Goosen had said that after an unavenged Williams loss people would be hitting the ****ing roof. :fire

That's the problem I have. He tries to act like the **** never happened, and his fans are actually OK with it. :-(

I'm no PWill lover, but I'm just keepin it real, Margo seems like he's in no rush to fight PWill, but he does have interest in fighting men that dont oppose as big a threat.

Margarito beat the man to beat at 147 in emphatic fashion, and was in a very closely contested fight with the 6'1 Paul 'The Punisher' Williams, who seems to be campaigning at every weight other than 147 at the moment. Margarito is the man to beat at 147 as far as I am concerned, and even if you disagree, it surely isn't that big of a deal. Fighters get in the ring to prove their detractors wrong, and I fully expect Margarito to do that.

You are not keeping it real. If you were, you would have surely took on board points I made about Arum being the boss, and him being responsible for Margarito's opponents. Personally, I have no problem with Margarito trying to get as much money out of the game as possible now he has fought to the top. Nobody expected the man to ever be where he is now, and he got to where he is by fighting older men at the grand age of 17. He paid his dues, took his losses, but rebounded and worked his way up to the top the old fashioned way. Admirable.

Margarito isn't taking pay days though, and any so-called Boxing fans who call Mosley a tune-up or a pay day have absolutely no idea about Boxing. Mosley is a challenge for any man even at his grand age, and if Margarito was really the cherry picker people seem to be claiming he is, I would have expected an easier fight for the Tijuana Tornado.
    Show some respect.

#1 This is where I think the breakdown is with me and you. As I have said before, I think Cotto is one of the biggest hypejobs today. What were his best victories at 147? ZAB, who stunned his ass and he had to lowblow his way to safety? or Shane, who he ran from, but did get the close but clear victory? Cotto hasn't really beaten anyone other than that except Quintana.

#2 Arum is not letting Cotto fight Williams. Margo ain't goin anywhere close. Kermit backed out. Shane said no. Clottey made some fake attempt at calling him out but HBO declined the offers. If he fights anyone else, he will look bad for even taking the fights.

#3 Margarito wants the fight too. It's just Bob the Puppetmaster who is standing in the way. And that's who I really have the problem with, although I give margo fans a lot of ****, constantly.

Look at Margarito's resume at 147, and then Willams resume at the weight.

Margarito is not going anywhere close at the moment. Arum has different plans for him, so I suppose the answer to this thread is as follows.

Margarito is fighting Shane instead of Williams because his promoter wants him to. :good

    Exactly.

You can pick apart Margarito's resume in the same way you can pick Manny Pacquiao's apart, but sometimes you just need to give a fighter credit. He is the man at 147, as far as I and others are concerned, not only because of his signature win against Cotto, but he has beaten Clottey, Cintron, and is now scheduled to fight Mosley. If he loses to Mosley, he won't be the man at 147, so all of this talk could well be academic by the time Feburary rolls by. That is Boxing.

    Biggest hype jobs?? :bart:nono

Naa man. You can talk all the **** you want. But no contender besides Margarito established themselves. Cintron has done nothing but get his ass kicked by Margarito. Clottey hasn't done much either. Quintana at least had his unexpected upset over Williams. Shane hasn't really done much either. And Berto REALLY hasnt done ****. So I mean really...**** off with that idea.

Margarito is the only one taking the names and beating them. I think if 2009 rolls by without a Williams rematch...then you can say he's ducking him and is a total ***** businessman (which i still don't agree with).

Until then...Selfkill has a point to back the **** off of his nuts. The fight will happen...have patience.

Because when Goosen said $4 million, he meant $4 million pesos.

Williams should attack another beltholder like Clottey while MArgarito is further building himself and they can eventually meet up for a monster mega fight at welter.

Bull****!!!!!!! Margarito asked for an immediate rematch with Williams but both Goosen and Williams turned it down. They knew they'd got lucky first time and darent risk a rematch.
So now Williams can go EARN a chance at Margarito The REAL Champ.
Psst Williams you wont earn a rematch by fighting 154 and meeting clubfighters and over the hill fighters:admin:patsch:nut
