Well, he is nearing 40 years old. Probably wants to kick back and have one last good fight against Pac and then retire. But, for the question he's already cemented his legacy and has done all he could and at his age it's reasonable enough to fight the fighters he's been fighting lately and retire.
Twenty five thousand posts on an Internet forum in a year and a half...and you still try to act like a tough guy. Kinda sad.
I agree totally. He has had fights offered to him like Zab Judah and turned them down. He has not really beaten a good fighter in 5 years. He still did not beat Pacman.
Marquez was duped. He thought he was getting Pacquiao for his next fight, but got a Pacquiao look alike instead.
He is immune to criticism because he does nothing that warrants criticism. The vast majority of people who try and criticise him have a clear Pacquaio-inspired agenda whilst most people see him for exactly what he is;a true warrior. He knows he probably only has one out and out ding-dong battle left so whilst he's waiting to sign off on it,he needs to keep in tune and shape. Check out 99% of the ones who do criticise him, then check out their form on other subjects... You won't be surprised.
it's a stay busy, tune up type of fight, and JMM doesn't earn the kind of money that Pac and Floyd make every time out the gate. He's done more than his share of fighting super tough up and comers for short money and I don't blame him for taking big risks unless he's getting big money. JMM gets the shaft everything he does. There's no way in **** that any fighter should be ranked ahead of him except Floyd or Pac, and he probably makes middle of the road money considering his superelite status. I would guess certainly less than Sexy Sergio or Andre Ward, the cable network chosen boys.
lol no. Did you even watch the fight, he lost to John fair and square. The term 'robbery' is thrown around far too much around here.
I think its a 3 part problem. 1. He's not seen as a huge draw by himself, so he doesn't get lined up in big fights often. Floyd, Pac, ODLH could fight anyone and sell a truckload of PPV's. Marquez doesn't have that mainstream popularity outside his home country. He's not alone. Wlad, Froch, Bute, Canelo are all big draws at home, but none of them are going to sell 1Million PPV's alone. 2. He's fast...and technical...and difficult...and tough as nails. Nobody up-and-coming want to get embarrassed and ruin their rise to the top. 3. He's nearing the end of his career. I'm sure his focus is on risk vs. reward fights, not life or death slugfests to make the fans happy.
Marquez vs Luscious Lucas on November. If he wins, fight Bradley somewhere around May (assuming Timbo gets passed Manny). Forget about Pacman, Juan...You already whooped that ass TRICE, everyone knows it. Arum's judges will keep shafting you!
Two ATG's who whooped your hero Hearns disagree...Their opinions >>>>>>>>> yours or any other pacturds' opinions.
...says the guy with JMM as his avatar pic and name. Strange coincidence that only JMM fans think he won the John fight.
Strange coincidence only *******s try to discredit Marquez. Basically everyone except *******s know only Mayweather has beaten Marquez. Jmm beat Norwood, John, and Pacquiao pretty clearly.
