I wish he had fought either Judah or Rios in his next fight. He could have beaten them both. I feel like he is pissing away what little time he has on nothing fights.

  2. Although I see your point... Marquez is hard to criticize because he has fought everyone on that P4P list that he possibly can.... which is much more than you can say for the other guys on the list. He is widely considered to have beaten Pacquiao at least once in 3 tries... I think it's really easy to give the guy a pass based on the risks he has taken in his career. Let the guy get a stay-busy fight.

So if Lebron James decides to play a pick up game at the Ruckers, we should critique him?

It's not as if we don't know at what level JMM is, so why should he be criticized if he wants to have a warm up fight to make sure he's ready in case Pac ever really wants to give him the 4th fight?

Fans just want to b1tch and moan about anything and everything.

He's immune to it because he's a warrior. There is hardly anything negative to say about this man. He's survived some of the most brutal beatings and pulled it off. He was losing to Juan Diaz and he was on his back against Katsidis. I am not one of the many who thinks he got robbed out of a victory against Pacquiao. Marquez is one of my favorite fighters and I am one who heavily criticizes Manny Pacquiao but Marquez didn't do what he knew he needed to do. I don't think Marquez lost but I don't think he did enough to take the title from Pacquiao. Juan Manuel Marquez is an all time great, a legend, and one helluva fighter. #Warrior

I don't think many people give a ****. He'll never be number 1 and he's at the end of his career. Who really cares who he fights anymore? If he were the top guy or lots of people were claiming he was top guy then people would be nitpicking everything about him. But he's not so nobody really cares. And his career for the most part speaks for itself.

Honestly i like Marquez, he got robbed 3 times v Pac yeah. But other than that...

Listen i think Marquez is a great fighter, but the only great he beat is Pac, which of course is very big, but other than that, then his resume is nothing special

What is the point of the thread? :huh

EVERYONE, including the biggest Marquez fans on the board, has slated the choice of Al Sabaupan as an opponent since he was first announced.

    So...? :think

    Huh?

The OP says that Marquez is immune to criticism by pointing out that nobody's complaining about Sabaupan.

The fact is, everybody has complained about Sabaupan all along, even massive JMM nut huggers.

    So...? :conf

Barrera and boarder line HOF Casa? I know they weren't prime, but how many fighters today have beaten a prime great fighter?

Great style, fun to watch, highly skilled, barely talks smack if ever, fights everyone and always brings his A game.

    How can anyone dislike that?

Pacquiao is 0-4 vs Marquez and Bradley. How he loses to smaller fighters and beats oversized punching bags proves he is p4p #1 fraud.

Because he's probably the most liked and well respect boxer here with the only people objecting to that are Pac fans.

I remember a dude put a pic here about JMM and his sexuality and he got banned....saying it was against the rules when we call every other fighter here every name in the book....correct me if I am wrong...
