I think it's odd that someone would accuse Floyd of taking easier fights when he:

came out of retirement to fight Hatton (who was one of the top faces of boxing at the time, people forget that)

chose to fight Ortiz (after he took Berto's title by KO)

chose to fight Cotto (at 154, a fight were he elected to stand and fight instead of prancing around the ring)

How can anyone accuse him of trying to take easier fights? That just doesn't make any sense. You can sit back and act like hindesight wisdom actually matters. But in reality, these where fights that many people questioned if Floyd could actually win.

The messed up thing is *******s make REAL Pac fans look bad.... Even real Manny fans hate *******s when they do threads like these.. Manny has 40,000,000 reasons to not fight Floyd..... Is it roids,is it needles,or is it just that he knows he can not outbox a guy like Floyd...

The last time Manny KO'd a legit guy was Hatton, which Floyd already did..

Floyd wasnt retired before he fought hatton - he defended his WBC welterweight title.

Ortiz quit against Maidana, but I see the slogan "young hungry lion" got to you.

Cotto has no notable wins at 154- only reason he went there was for an easy belt as Pac took his title and expelled him from welterweight.

    Accept this

    I agree too.

Tho the thing that doesn't make sense is, Floyd will outbox him any given sunday. Pac had an advantage over guys he fought after Floyd fought them, whether they were exposed after Floyd or they were weight drained.

But apparently, Floyd did not jump in on that opportunity, instead he chose to accuse :patsch

    Strange :yep

I didn't know Floyd being brainwashed by his father was a fact that needed to be refuted.

It amazes me how people "see so clearly" when saying Floyd is scared, but they don't use that say logic to see Pacquiao was definitley hiding something during those first negotioations. And it's so obvious if you're not blinded by fanboyism.

This is just a microcosm of what I've been getting from Pacquiao fans for 3 or 4 years now.

Passing off opinions as facts, confusing boxing forums as encyclopedias.

Just the fact that these people having been quoting BOB ARUM should be enough for anyone to see that they don't know very much about the sport. smh. Theye've been told for years not to trust that dude. Now that Pacquiao is a victim of one of Bob's robberies, they finally see the light? gtfoh

Floyd has all the advantages against Pac. :good

Instead of lacing up the gloves, he wanted to "clean up the sport" :rofl

I'm not saying they're the greatest wins of all time. The fact that Ortiz didn't quit against Berto after being floored several times says that he was at least gaining a little bit of his confidence back. I merely brought up those examples to further the point that saying Floyd is taking the easy way out isn't consistent with the matter in which he fought these guys.

In any case none of the fights I mentioned say "easy way out" to me at least.

Oh and my mistake on the Hatton fight.

Not really. If you know anything about Bob Arum and his unwillingness to deal with anyone outside of top rank.

    Honestly, no :good

Serious question, how deep are you in prize-fighting that you know so much on "how difficult it is deal with Arum?" :good

What condition was Cotto in when Pac fought him??

He was still wearing a fresh ass whipping from Margarito....and boiled down to 145............just to be SAFE.

Margarito was a ruined by Mosley..suspended and disgraced.

Hatton's ears were still ringing from the turnbuckle Mayweather hit him with...if not that..surely the left hook from the DREADED Juan Lazcano...

Hatton was an empty shell when Pac fought him.
