you've gone from a decent, english incapabilities withstanding, poster, to an irrational hater of the united states, after being heavily involved in this ongoing klitschko debate. that's a fact man. secondly, so many examples contradict what you believe to be the "name of the game" in the united states that it's not even worth noting. all of your opinions of boxing and race viewed from an american perspective, are either broad generalizations, completely off base opinions, or both. stick to what you know. i'm sure you're more well versed when it comes to those same issues, from a finnish perspective. do us all a favor and keep it there.
Don't act like Floyd is saying some culturally relavent, interesting, witty or important things. Most of the time he's just a dick who talks about his 'big boy mansion' and burns $100 bills. Now if you're implying that white people would like Floyd more if he wasn't constantly flaunting his wealth in recession, being found guilty of beating his ex, being linked to shootings and generally acting like someone that you would never ever want to hang out with, then yeah. You're probably right. White people might like him more if he acted like a normal person. You know who also might like him more? Everyone. Add to the fact that Floyd, despite being brilliant in the ring is painfully unfunny. Like Dane Cook unfunny. Like Carlos Mencia unfunny. Like Larry the Cableguy unfunny. Like...well, you get the point.
Hell no. I know he had an ego bigger than all ESB-posters together (hard to imagine, I know) but I had no idea he and Floyd walked the same path as womenbeaters.
Ali talked **** and backed it up, fought the best out there, Ali was form the hood, he actually struggled to make it out of the hood. He was intelligent and made reference to soiceties problems, he was funny his trash talking was natural it didn't seem fake like FLoyd's. Ali was real, Floyd is a character. Even though I see Floyd being more talented than Ali, Floyd might be the best but Ali is the greatest.
Well for starters Mayweather is not Ali, and what Ali stood for outside the ring was far greater, then what anybody then or now has stood for inside the ring. Now add that with what he brought to the ring and your come to see. That Floyd stands for only half (his greatness in the ring) of what Ali stood for. Which is why Floyd does not or really any other fighter, gets idolized like ALI.
Some of you guys are exaggerating the "hate" for Ali. Yes, some people hated him. But you are talking like everyone hated him, which is ridiculous. The truth is a lot of people didn't like his mouth, but loved to watch him fight. That is about the only comparison you could even sort of make between Ali and Floyd.
A lot of the greats, and I mean ATG's, have been involved in or at the very least been accused of domestic violence. Even big ole' softy George Foreman. This content is protected
