Why is Mikkel Kessler not ranked among the Top 15 by the IBF?

Do you think they'll strip Bute?

No, not unless he fails to fight his mandatories. It's very tough to be a multi belt world champion and hold on to the IBF though as you either have to be extremely active or only fight against pretty crappy fighters.

Who cares about the IBF, it's the WBC/WBA that counts right now.
I don't think it matters where Kessler is ranked right now, it's Bute that has to call him out, not Kessler calling em' out.

He's not good enough,  Haussler :rofl :rofl

Obvius they dont like team Palle, to bad for Kessler thou.

Thats why I think Kessler who now has a name, should fight another name in USA. **** the abc belts they are so corrupt, make a carrier like De La Hoya !:bbb

Sorry Decebal for not keeping to the subject.:smoke :good

    Why is that, then?

Yeah, but if Kessler were ranked, he'd be mandatory, and Bute would have to fight him...

You think there's some conflict between Palle and IBF? That could explain it!...:think

That's true, but economically, it does make sense that they'd fight somewhere between late 08' and mid 09'. Right now Bute should establish himself whilst Kessler fights with Miranda/Pascal winner, and then Froch for the vacated WBC/WBA belts. Then another real unification fight should take place between Bute and Kessler, somewhere in '09. :good

I see what you're saying though, Kessler should most definitely be ranked at #1 spot, but money is power in this business, and right now, it don't make sense matching them two.

You mean: the IBF would make more money over the next three years if Bute remained champ and fought Froch and then Kessler than if Bute fought Kessler as his mandatory and then Kessler would fight Froch?:think Could be...:good

I would imagen because if he was ranked he would have to be the madatory or there abouts. Mabye they like Bute and dont want to see him forced to fight Kessler?

Hey man! I'm scraping the ****ing barrel here!:D
Perhaps Bute and the IBF are tight? Who knows?
They're clearly the best 2 at the weight imo, so if this high risk fight comes off make sure its milked for all its worth. A unification fight has more status and automatically becomes more of an event.

Bute and Kessler clearly the 2 best at the weight you say?

I think a certain boyo from Newport might have different ideas.
