Why is Moses being pushed so fast at such a young age?

Somethings thats got to be noted here is Dubois's career would have burst into flames if things had went just slightly different.

If he doesn't struggle though hes going to be fighting for some form of world title.

Because it´s fun, hes talented, and the old guard is going to retire soon, or at least no longer keep the division in a choke hold.
Usyk is 38, and certainly on his way out.
Joshua is 35, and coming off of a brutal KO loss.
Wilder is 39, and certainly on his way out.
Fury is 37, and I think he is the most likely to stick around, but he will start taking more L´s if he does.

In the boxrec top 50, there are only 16 guys under the age of 32. So majority of the division is older than 32.

Itauma is going to be given a title fight, and then they are going to build him into a superstar.

    Money.
    That is the only reason.
    His age makes him marketable.

It has been proven that fighting cream puffs for years whilst waiting to hit an arbitrary age does not make you any better.

Its also been proven that spending years as an amateur does not make you any better as a professional.

An athletes peak isn't 35 its more like 23-28 years old. Therefore it makes perfect sense to push Itauma like this, who will be 21 in December.

If you want a more exciting HW division we need more fighters at their athletic peaks fighting each other. HW fighters from 35-40 years old should not be the norm, it should be an exception.

People are acting as if you need to be 30+ to fight for a title. An athletes peak is between 23-28 years old.

Itauma is going to smash it - as the only fighter currently in the top 15 of any division who is any good and is younger is Agit Kabayel (32)

He's been moved at the right pace. If he can't beat Whyte he can try again at that level 12 months later. But he should be able to beat Whyte. if he struggles to win the people who steer him can decide to slow it down or speed it up for a big cashing out fight.

Peak for most heavyweights is 25 to 30. For an early developer like Moses 21 to no older than 27 realistically.

Because he has nothing to lose

We don't need to build up fighters to be ppv stars, turki is paying top dollar for great fights

All prospects should be pushing hard and fast

Moses also does not look 20, he is an old man 20, like Tyson was. Both fully matured physical adults in their late teens. Then you have many 20 year olds who look like kids, so it all depends.

They probably think Whyte is washed up enough for a high-profile win.

I think they may be making a huge mistake here.

They need young cash cows who they could milk for long years. They're all fake, paper champions.

There's at most 18 months left to face any of AJ, Fury & Usyk and to prove yourself vs. HOF famers, once they're done, you're left without names to define your reign. If he has big ambitions, he needs to act FAST.

I wouldn't say Itauma is being moved particularly quickly. We're in August and he's only fought once so far. The Whyte fight is a step up but a clever one in that he's a name but a pretty shot one. Also Itauma is physically well developed for a 20 year old.

I'd say the pace they're moving Itauma at is pretty spot on. Certainly not over rushed.
