Why is Mosley rated so high, he hasn't beaten an elite in years..

yes they are. If 2 elite fighters fight one does have to lose, which doesnt necessarily mean the loser suddenly is not elite, it merely means the winner was the better fighter that nite. In some cases the defeated fighter will need to regain the status of elite, which if he does only further proves his status as being elite

Normally I would agree but because of the way he lost I disagree. He looked flawed in that fight and here's why. He didn't use basic rules when hurt or to break up the momentum of Margo. Like clinching and holding having no plan B and backing straight back into the ropes not keeping the fight in the center of the ring and not going to the body his best and most effective attack. Cotto has elite level skills but his ring IQ and stamina prevent him from being an elite fighter IMO and that's the difference between him and someone like PBF who can fight for 15 rounds and make adjustments on the fly and who can adapt to all styles. As long as guys like Williams and Margo are at 147 he'll never be in their class.

 

he already proved he was an A fighter at WW.. styles make fights and some people just have your numder..

I think that Mosely's performance against Cotto when he was ranked no1 is why most people have him in the top 5. I have Quintana ahead of him personally.

 

Look if they changed the result based on that fact I wouldnt cry or dispute it. In my opinion its no different than a robbery, a robbery given to Casa, a robbery given to Floyd, or a robbery given to Mosley, or a robbery given to DLH. Fact is whether we like it or not eze its victory, it goes down as a W. And like it or not a W gives credibility whether we agree or not that W propels said fighter
