Both close fights Mayweather had(DLH and Castillo) were close fights that could have gone either way, if you though Floyd lost then many thought he won, you're not getting anywhere. It's not like the fights were one-sided but robberies, want a fight like that?, watch Chavez vs Whitaker. Nothing is "Clear" in extremely close fights.

 

He has proven himself that's why he is elite. Ring Magazine has him ranked.

 

Well it has more to do with it when defining how you consider Mosley to not be elite
