Why is Mosley such a big underdog? Because 1) Some people are too easy to fool with the hype of being undefeated 2) Apparently when one fights a fantastic performance, the opponent doesn't matter--one could take liberties from such a performance and fantasize about it against anybody 3) Size should be an issue, but is being ignored
How convienient. Back in November, when Arum thought the fight wasn't going to happen, Mosley was Mayweather's biggest challenge. Mayweather was also supposedly too scared to ever consider Mosley as an opponent. 5 months later, when the fight is made, Arum paints Mosley as a feeble old man with little shot to win.
Mosely is the underdogg because floyd mayweather is simple the most gifted and talented boxer in the world today. Thats not to say Mosely cant win the fight, but its just so difficult to picture Mayweather being beaten! As much as i would LOVE to see it happen i doubt that! Floyd has built such a love him or hate him image of himself, that everyone WANTS to see him lose badly. So we search for guys who would trouble him. Mosely seemed at the time the best equipped after whooping Margarito, but like you said a dose of reality sets in and you realise ''**** man... Floyds gonna win again isnt he''! id much rather see pac vf floyd to be honest
Oh you mean after the 1000th hayemaker landed flush on margarito ? that hardly cements his having ko power, that's accumulation which just isn't going to happen against the much more mobile Floyd. Margarito gave up more than being ko'd or troubled anyway and was later proven to be a cheat and didn't have his cement gloves. Added to this Mosley shouldn't even be fighting anyway he should have received a lifetime ban as should any professional athlete caught using steroids. Floyd simply wouldn't take a fight that he thought he could lose.
because people just makes a big deal about that 0 and 38 and thats a fact. plus mosley has been inactive and tend to struggle against a good boxer. but i remember the odds during margarito fight just as bad as this fight, and look what happened. But still im one of the few here that wouldn't be surprized if mosley gives floyd his first loss on may 1st.
Shane is the major underdog for the same reasons he was against Margarito. Media Hype + Fan base for one fighter = Distorted odds and upset special. Oh.....and the false report that Shane was having a bad camp also got betters throw more of their hard earned money on PBF. Going to be some sad broke ****s come May 2nd.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is not gonna school anybody May 1st. I feel there's a sense of urgency from Mayweather to answer back to Pacquiao's ovewhelming win over Clottey and they expect Shane to play his part... That's why everybody is writting SSM off, b'cause they feel Mayweather-Pacquiao is a natural! Now, Floyd is supposed to have the skills and Shane supposed to look like a fool. I say be very suspicious about that - Judah went toe to toe and did outpunch Mayweather early, just that Floyd walked with him, kept him in his punching pocket and press him back - Judah is smaller than him and was desesperate to make it back after the Baldo loss; Hoya went full steam to outland him just that his accuracy was very poor and he ran out of steam to jab him away ( Floyd picked the fight up by scoring left lead hooks, jabs to the body combined with rights on top in the times Hoya rested and only blocked shots); Hatton went head first and was a sucker for a right hand all night long until that check hook caught him, no matter how hard he pressed the fight and the pace; JMM was too small and not agressive enough, still Floyd did not risk as much... Well, you know what? SSM is not gonna be walked down like Judah was, he is not gonna throw unaccurate punches in bunches like Hoya did, he is not gonna rush head first in like Hatton, and he is not small to be picked apart by Floyd from the distance... I say the odds are like they are cause Floyd is a very consistent and cold minded rounds winner... He doesn't have more speed than once flurry blinding speedster Mosley, he doesn't have more power than the man who punched with Hoya, Cotto, Vargas, Mayorga, Margarito and I very much doubt he is more skilled than Shane in what has to do with punching skills... I would give him that he is a defensive wizzard like Winky Wright but not as strong and big but that may not win the fight for him by itself.
We'll see Tell Shane that it's not St. Patrick's Day and that only Money Mayweather should wear green :deal I'm just messin with you. I got love for Shane but he is going to get tapped on 5/1.
People keep talking about how inactive Shane has been, as if Mayweather has been fighting all comers the last 3yrs. That sparring session May had with JMM didn't help much with ring rust. May has been just as inactive as Shane has.
