Yeah obviously, but it’s not about having the hardest man headline, it’s the most important fight, an chisora had zero relevance to the heavyweight scene in comparison to Taylor Prograis in theirs. Real talent, world titles etc. Chisora is dumb to think he should headline before them two
The headline fight should be the one that people want to see the most. Boxing is the only sport where handicap divisions are regarded as 'more talented' or 'more important' than the open or top division. If small weight class fighters were good enough to beat ranked heavyweights, they would. Sutton and Torquay are currently #1 and #2 football teams in the Vanarama league, but most people would rather watch a couple of teams in the lower half of the Premier league.
I’m lost. Chisora demolishes Taylor an Prograis from the off, but why we talking about that for “smaller fighters fighting heavies?
Scotland is a very left wing country. As you could see with the protests full of snowflakes in Glasgow recently. Maybe he's being blacklisted because of that one minor drunken incident.
I'm saying the heavyweight division IS the higher level. I'm saying 140 pounders is a lower level. That doesn't mean all heavyweights should be regarded as headliners over 140-pounders, but when you have experienced ranked heavies fighting 12 rounders AND they are better-known names, they have a very strong case to headline over #1 and #2 several levels (divisions) below them.
I have BT Sports, DAZN, Sky Sports (Now TV) and Box Nation. I was annoyed when I heard it was on Fite. "Not another bloody channel!!" I thought. But then, a one off payment of £13 for an undisputed title fight, with two quality boxers is actually not that bad considering some of the £20 PPV fights Sky have the cheek to put on.
Comparing it to Sky Box Office is exactly what they will hope people will do. It should be weighed up independently, though. £13 is an absolute joke for this. I can't imagine many will pay for it.
Not a chance, not for the one fight and at that time of the morning Hearn has very little to offer him within his stable Ritson on PPV is what we would get
Just wanna say on from my original post that I don’t have a problem with him at all, never slated him on here or anything - was just pointing out he’s not that well liked.
I’m guessing tv channels are able to view viewing figures like when Taylor fought Davies on channel 5 and decide from that if they want in? If it had been on at a reasonable hour then one of the big guns would’ve snapped it up but 4am in the morning, even I can’t do it anymore. Last time I did my sleeping patterns were messed up for a week!
