I agree - Frampton was dog ****e against Quigg as well so I doubt sky where in a hurry to pay up to show this. I suspect it will be on premier sports - I won't be paying for it though

His last fight was hardly a blockbuster of a performance so I'm not hugely surprised. Factor in the time difference and it doesn't make it too appetising a prospect for a UK network.

Personally I'd like to see ITV invest in more boxing but I don't think that they'll be picking up this fight.

The pluses far outweigh any negatives here. ....and I can't agree there are many negatives.
Two uneaten world champions, and no tv?????

With Leo's style you are guaranteed it simply can't be dull.

I for one am very surprised....and disappointed..

Unless sky are playing hardball and holding out till the last minute when they hope haymon will give it to em for free???? Or something like that???

Have Carl's side made any comment about the TV situation????

You could have said the same about quiggs style before the frampton quigg fight though. They said after the quigg fight they knew it would be boring but the lsc fight will be a war. I can see the same thing happening again. The only time frampton has stood and traded with anyone half descent was the first Kiko fight and it made his life hard. When quigg put it on him the second half of their fight the same happened. So realistically I don't expect him to try doing that with lsc

I agree that his fight won't be a total war.....at least not if Carl has anything to do with it.
But lsc will not be as negative as quigg. He fights one way....he attacks.
Carl is a cautious man, safety first kinda guy.

Carl's PPV debut was truly awful, the fight came to life because Quigg forced it in the final third. If Cyclone think that they now have an international superstar on their hands they could well end up with no British TV at all.

Carl isn't a great watch, didn't impress when he ventured to America and has a damp squib as a Pay-Per-View debut. Barry no doubt thinks he has a Northern Irish Pacquiao on his hands though.

Its the biggest fight in world boxing over that wkend, there is no way it wont be televised in the U.K

Frampton is known for his appreciation of his die hard fan base, not a chance he wont allow them an oppourtunity to see what could be a career defining fight

Oh bore off everyone knows Quigg ruined the specticle not Frampton

As for his american debut, the "general section" of the forum had nothing but praise for him, his skillset and his determination, so not sure where u get the damp squid comment from

I'd say it was about equal to be fair. You can blame the early rounds on quigg but in the later rounds it was the man with the broken jaw forcing it and frampton holding on. I'm not slating him because you do what u need to do but he isn't the most exciting guy. Nor am I saying he should block punches with his face. Just for the casual impartial he's not the most exciting

But there is enough interest in this field gut for it to be picked up by tv.

Hope a last minute deal is done......
