Why Is Nobody Calling For Bivol-Beterbiev?

    both have said they are ready right now for a fight at 175. both are strap holders so it would unify. both would enhance their legacy. everyone is always complaining that fighters just want to protect their trinket, that theres no more guys like the old school fighters who wanted to be the best. is there a reason this fight cant get made RIGHT NOW, that im missing?

    Csnelo's the boy crying wolf. Let's see him put his money where his mouth is.

    I don't see anyone calling for Joe Smith vs Beterbiev or a rematch with Bivol. Smith has a trinket as well.

    you would think that fans of boxing would want 2 champs to unify. and both stating the last week that they are ready for a fight, fans would be ecstatic and hyping the fight up. you would think, wouldnt you?

    so youre fine with both these guys acting like the other one dont exist, right after they both said they are ready now?

    The thing is Beterbiev is supposed to fight Joe Smith Jr but this sickness of a Canelo payday has everyone from 160-175 hanging out their tongues and waiting to be deflowered, so no one wants to take a risk.

    The fault lies with Canelo too, what his team does is basically spread the rumors of a fight with a certain fighter and the fighter's side waits. Right now Eddie Hearn said that the fight date has been shifted to November and I read somewhere that chances of renegotiating with Plant are there, so if Plant accepts then Bivol gets blue-balled again.

    i get how canelo impacts whats going on, but how does that make it ok for bivol and beterbiev to pull a spence and crawford job when pac is their canelo? have you seen how these so called boxing fans crucify those 2 for the exact same thing? what do you suppose is the difference?

    I've called for it many times. Would rather see that than any other fight on the division. Top 5 unmade fight in boxing easy. Will be a damn shame it or doesn't happen soon.

    I believe Bivol and Beterbiev deserve heat for this but just think some days back before the deal with Plant fully fell through and there were rumors that Canelo's next fight might be with GGG and when he was asked he said he was ready but now we know that there were no plans to fight him despite taking his name as a potential replacement for Plant.

    Spence and Crawford situation is clearly different beacuse there was a dispute in who'll be the A-side and then Crawford kind of gave up on the fight , this caused most of the people to turn on him and that's why he receives so much heat.

    The plan for Bivol-Beterbiev is quite simple, Beterbiev fights Smith Jr and the winner fights Bivol in a unification bout.

    then i dont understand why both said they are ready right now for a fight with canelo, if either one has another commitment. and if the reason is money, surely both would make a lot more of it fighting each other, than they would fighting 5 smith jrs.

    They would make a hell lot more fighting Canelo, at least 10 million for sure and Beterbiev wants this fight soon as possible cuz he's getting ancient, if he beats Canelo he'll most probably have one or two more fights and retire.
