Why is nobody talking about Nico Ali Walsh?

Because he sucks in boxing.

 

I think he's slowly starting to improve from his first few fights to his last one can see improvement

 

Well, as far as commentators go, they're too busy talking about his grandfather to talk about him.

Jokes aside, I think most people aren't talking about him cause he's really nothing special. I've only seen one fight of his, so maybe it ain't my place to say, but he seemed pretty average. Not to say he'll never be better than that, it's just he isn't yet, so there's not much to talk about at the moment.

 

He's fighting tomato cans. It's not very hard to look improved against such a level of opposition. I think this kid has no talent at all to be honest. He probably should have lost his 0 as a pro fighter already but got a gift decision in his third pro fight. I'm not very optimistic with him and i think any decent fighter with a pulse would school him.

 

He's 22 and has only 7 pro fights. Don't know how extensive an ameteur career he had, but the boy is green as a cucumber. Loads of room for improvement.

 

There's the problem. He only had 20-30 amateur fights on the local level. And he's not getting any experience at all in beating up undersized tomato cans. Of course he's only 22 but where should he learn? He either needs to step it up soon and give a **** about his 0 OR looking for some quality sparring against world level fighters. I just don't see it. Being youg is no excuse for looking not very talented at all. Let's be honest....without the heritage he'd be like 4-4 and a journeyman and nobody would give a **** about him. He'd be the tomato can on the wrong side getting fed to higher level prospects etc.

 

About as complete an answer as can be given. What was that Ali shuffle”It felt like the thing to do bollocks”. He isn’t going to improve unless he is willing to risk his unbeaten record. Even then highly unlikely he’ll make waves in boxing.

 

He's going the JCC Jr route, only he isn't nearly as good as him. But he wants to market himself into a big money cash out fight. Personally I don't think he has much talent and am not sure he's even gatekeeper quality. More like a journeyman on the old Tuesday Night Fights on USA.

 

If it weren't for his grandfather, we would never have heard of him...

Whats to say really? Everybody knows hes a novelty item with the Ali name attached. Like everyone has already stated, he sucks and once he steps up beyond Bare Knuckle fighting level like the guy he last fought, hes going to get exposed ever further.
