And why is Donaire getting a pass for ducking? Instead he is fighting Victor Darchinian, who he already KOed.
Same reason Kostya Tszyu never rematched Vince Phillips! In fairness though, lets give Donaire time. Looks like he's going up to 126 lbs, lets see if Rigo follows!
Real Simple when Champ loses the belt he is supposed to go back & avenge his loss immediately. Extra fact: On fight night Donaire was 143 and Rigo 125
"Why is Nonito Donaire Ducking the Rigondeux rematch?" Uhhh... Could be something to do with the fact that Rigo made him look terrible.(Even though Donaire is a great fighter himself). And the fact that I don't think it would generate that much money.
Umm.. He's tired of boxers not wanting to go toe-to-toe. But he wants to move to 126 then 130 where there will be warriors looking to throw down.
So he only wants to fight unskilled fighters who lack footwork and defensive skills. He said on FNF he was going to 126. Rigo just has his number.
Although I have no problem with Donaire pursuing a rematch, this is just pathetic spin. What you're really saying is that Donaire only wants to fight hand picked fighters who are tailor made for him to look good against from now on.
Nonaire wants to fight Mexicans. There's none at 122. Mares, Terrazas and that kid that fights like Margarito they moved up to 126.
You said in the title he is ducking Rigo... but he has been saying for the past few months that he badly wants the rematch. Just cause Arum says something is brewing in November doesn't mean that Vic is his actual opponent. They never released officially that Nonito was fighting Vic. Why is it auto-assumed that he is ducking?
If he fights Vic at 122 but then says the Rigondeaux rematch can only take place at 126 he deserves to be torn apart.
