He's not "ducking a rematch." Donaire fought the lesser ranked fighter and lost by 10 or 11 rounds. The knockdown, which people seem to forget, is the only positive ten second span of the fight for Donaire. Nobody wants to see a rematch.
current walking weight is in the mid 140's, donaire may not be able to make 122 anymore...fight with vic may not be even possible.
I think the fight would generate enough money. The fight got decent views actually. But it's probably not worth Donaire losing kind of money to Arum.
Rigo is getting punished for being to good. he may have been the winner of the fight but he's the loser. not fair
the rematch would look the same as the first fight, with Donaire getting outboxed badly, I seriously underrated Rigo before the fight
I'm always against fighters that escape rematches but it's a pointless rematch for him. He has no chance against that style anyway and it was proven already. Might as well move on.
Probably because he'd make more coin fighting Darchinyan. Not sure why anyones complaining either, it's a far more entertaining fight, even if Vic does get Ko'd again.
Rigo took his soul, just like Chavez Jr. took Martinez's. LMAO JUST KIDDING! I'm tired of reading that line from people. He is trying to rebuild. I'll give him a pass for the next 2 fights, but I definitely want a rematch. Specially, since I believe Nonito said he wanted one too. It's a shame what's happening with Rigo and HBO.
And now Donaire sys he wasn't 100% for his fight with Rigendeux: http://www.boxingnews24.com/2013/07/donaire-i-wasnt-100-for-the-rigondeaux-fight/ Honestly, this guy is despicable.
