Seems weird to me that the challenger is the heavy favorite against the WBC/WBO Title Holder...

Its 2 to 1... So odds are not that much but, it seems to put a lot of pressure on Nonito Donaire to deliver.

While Fernando again is under dog like with hasegawa.

    I can't wait :happy

    Montiel KO9

Will Montiels Power be to much for donaire and he will try to pot shot?

Montiel is a very good boxer, so I don't know I'm skeptical... But I can't wait... LOL

I love that Montiel is finally getting his big time shot...he deserves it. No complaints, just put some money down.

Ive never seen a fighter switch styles so drastically before...even Barrera took a few years. Montiel went from cutie defensive fighter to f'in Julian Jackson overnight.

    ^ LOL

I am so happy to, this is such a great fight for both fighters..

I hope these are the JMM- PACQUIAO of a new generation..

With Juanma Gamboa joining the party. and possibly R. Marque for a late rally.

    Hatton vs Pac II.

That is why Donaire is a big favourite.

Dont think its anything against Montiel just speaks to how highly people see Donaire. IMO he should def be the favorite even though I'm rooting for Montiel I find it hard to see how he can win this one unless he can hrt Donaire which is def possible but I've never seen him hurt before. But Montiel is def the most skilled and hardest puncher he has faced so who knows.

Yeah Donaire did put on some great performances with Vic, and SIdorenko, but So has Montiel both have been in awesome fights.

I think maybe because Donaire has a more pleasing fan style.

    EDIT: senchenko Sidorenko LOL woops.

Montiel is 3/1 to win by KO in my local bookies, great odds I feel. I'm going to put a Bradley points, Montiel KO and Pac KO treble on.

Hatton and Montiel are like night and day. There is no comparison.

Montiel is a strong counter puncher that has become more offense oriented in the past few years. He has kept a lot of his defensive tactics and can change a fight with a single punch. Montiel is a technician, he is no Hatton.

I think he meant that 'cause Hatton is fan of the mexican fighting style, and Donaire is Filipino :D

I dont think so. I think Donaire is just seen as the better fighter even though Montiel has the better resume. Plus with the Sydorenko fight it showed Doanire isnt affected by the weight and is still huge at 118. And Sydorenko and Montiel are around the same size and Donaire looked like a monster compared to Sydorenko.

Hatton's more of a fan of it than Montiel is.
