Why is Nonito Donaire the Betting Favorite against Fernando Montiel?

This ^^... and you can add the age factor. Montiel is 32 while Donaire is only 28.

Montiel is skilled but Donaire is more skilled. Couple that skills with quickness, speed and power then you have a scary Donaire.

 

I think its cuz Montiel isn;t well known in the us.

 

Nonito good at timing he'll crack you with counter shots sneaky and hella accurate with it.But has the tendency to get wild can be vulnarable.I see the reach and height being a prob for Montiel will probably walk into alot bombs and keep coming.I think he takes Nonito punches and get's through with the victory.I don't like Nonito steps back he drops his hands he can get away with it vs Sydorenko who is a plodder. But Montiel quick on his feet and will unleash a quick punch.

A test for Donaire. And montiel should be the favorite.

 

Younger fighter who's more well rounded. I like both fighters but Donaire is the favorite and rightfully so.

 

Montiel is gonna win. But you can't count nonito out, I don't think he handles montiels power.

I like Montiel's style but Donaire defensive style may beat Montiel's. Whoever wins, it doesn't matter.
On this event we all win, the fans, the promoters and the fighters because if they put a good fight, their stock will rise.

 

You are right on all this but don't forget Montiel has the knockout power.
