Why is Oscar fighting on Triller?

Oscar & DAZN are on the outs I think.

 

Triller is currently outbidding everyone, especially for freak fights like this one. De la Hoya the fighter isnt a part of golden boy, this is strictly personal business.

 

DAZN also may have options on certain things and not want to be involved in freak shows.

It’s looking like the beginning of a business relationship between GB and Triller. Oscar obviously hold no value to DAZN without the Golden ticket so I’m sure he’s shopping his remaining roster.

Lmao. Supposedly snoop dogg is part owner of triller. They r throwing big bucks like dazn was a few years ago pricing out the market. Dazn is backed by len bla-something or other who is one of the richest ppl on earth. Hes upwards of $10billion USD which is a very very small club and hes far above that mark. Triller on the other hand idk whos behind the scenes there but if they paid 6million for teofimo vs kambosos when even eddie hearn only bid 3.5million and wanted the fight on dazn they almost doubled that at the purse bidding. They gave mike tyson n roy crazy money too. They r about to be a major player in the game it seems like. We all thought dazn would blow all their money but they had the finanical backing. Lets c who and how much backing triller has in the future

Essentially DAZN were not impressed by Goldenboys handling and miss information on the Canelo deal. My understanding is that DAZN were told be Goldenboy that Canelo was exclusive to them and the contract had to be with Goldenboy. Goldenboy told Canelo the other way around that DAZN want to buy his fights on a major contract but only do it through DAZN. Goldenboy did this as they had no TV deal and wanted it to leverage their roster to secure their own contract with DAZN.

This then came in the wash when it seemed both DAZN and Canelo were being difficult to make fights with. However Canelo now has a relationship with Eddie Hearn and seems to very happy with DAZN. Part of the split with Golden Boy meant no one could talk about it. But DAZN lowered Goldenboys budget significantly. DAZN have a major interest in Ryan Garcia but apart from that would be happy to cut ties with Goldenboy and work exclusively with Matchroom.

Goldenboy know this and are starting to feel threatened hence why Oscar makes sly digs at DAZN and has decided to take a fight for a payday in his 50's. DAZN had no interest in his fight and Triller was the only place to offer him a fight.

The Triller model is going to be interesting as they dont have a bottomless pit of money and seem to be burning cash and creating events that are very random and that do not attract one particular audience. Like the people wanting to watch Jake Paul vs Ben Askren will not be the people wanting to watch Prograis vs Redkach
