IMO, it's now a matter of opinion. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he was clean the first time around.

Damn good fight. Would've be a disgrace if he actually was juiced that night also.

Its all good. I think it's because he lost a lot during this span that a lot of people have blinders on about it....just imagine if he went on a spree of huge KO's though against Forrest, Wright, then Trinidad and Oscar? He'd be burned at the stake if he admitted to it after those

if youre gonna count his paquiao loss then you have to count the chavez adn whitaker wins and Mosley was on steroid and still people felt DLH got robbed same with Trinidad

Because he lost almost every major fight he was in, and the fact that he fights based on his selling abilities instead of earning them with performances.

Another thing. Oscar never fought anyone with a losing streak, or coming off a brutal beating.

Only one was in his prime, and it was a SD loss to Mosley.

I had De La Hoya leading going into the 6th round, but Quartey won almost every round after. He clearly won.

Oscar was thoroughly outboxed all night. The only time he won rounds were when Pea didn't punch...and Pea outworked him.

:patsch Oscar swept the last 3 rounds including the 12th where he beat Ike's ass all over and dropped him.

A draw could of been fair but winning the championship rounds is a major factor in determining a close fight.

    Because people are dumb.

I can't recall how many debates on this subject that I have been involved in. In those debates, people actually have the amazing ignorance to say that Oscar lost all of his big fights. They would list Trinidad, Mosley and Hopkins as Oscar's big fights. (this was before the Floyd and Pac fights).... and in the same breath they would compare it to Floyd Mayweather's resume where they would list his great wins such as Genaro Hernandez and Arturo Gatti.:patsch Either they don't realize that Oscar had already beat both Hernandez and Gatti, or they simply choose to ignore it for the sake of their opinion.

Let alone the fact that they ignored Oscar's wins over Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey, Vargas, Mayorga, Camacho, Ruelas, Carr, Leija, Molina, Castillejo, Paez, Gonzalez, ect... on top of Gatti and Hernandez. They also ignore the fact that Oscar easily beat Tito and Mosley in the second fight... while trying to call Whitaker and Quartey robberies... which anyone who watched those fights... regardless of who you had winning, no way you could call either a robbery win for Oscar.

As I said... people are dumb. Then again... with names on your resume like Chavez, Whitaker, Trinidad, Hopkins, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Vargas, Mayorga, Quartey, ect... it must be a little too easy for people to forget that Oscar had a HOF resume by the time he even fought Tito Trinidad... which was in his 4th weight division.

Possibly the greatest resume in the history of boxing.
