yeah such a shock that the number 2 p4p guy is calling the shots against timmo It is much more reasonable for a guy to move up than vice versa.
Much more reasonable for a guy to move up SOMETIMES. Mayweather took the **** a bit with Marquez. Likewise Pacquiao took the **** asking for 2lb off Cotto and claiming he's been a LMW champ when he fought a guy who's never been much at 154, at a limit of 150! Asking Bradley to move up is fine, but smacks of double standards when he fought Cotto and wanted a catchweight. They should just do away with catchweight title fights. Pac-Bradley 147 is fine, but then so too would 140 have been.
Have your cake and eat it too. I think this is more of a point proving thread. I personally don't have any issue with the fight at 147 and I'm sure 95% of people in here agree. Hatton ballooned up to 180 in between fights, especially as he got older, but apparently he was a bigger risk for Pac at his best weight of 140 and not 147 against Mayweather. Pacquiao fans around here will use an argument if it suits their agenda and then take to opposite stance in another thread if it's convenient. :dead
Who's mentioned marg and cotto though? We're on about brad moving up to challenge pac. Some of histories biggest fights were at catchweights, they've been around forever and won't change any time soon. It's just much more common for a guy to move up and challenge rather than move down and challenge.
He is not dragging, he's already 147 or more at this time and it is Bradley who has to put on some burgerkings to earn the payday and then get the f*** out of the picture...
How fighters' bodies react while not in training camp varies, based on their lifestyles, genetics and weight class they choose to fight in. Tim and Ricky may have fought at 140 for the majority of their careers, but based on their Frames... TIM should carry weight at the higher weight classes better. Looking at their frames... Tim has broader shoulders, denser muscle mass and bigger in most physical dimensions. But Ricky being a better fighter at 140 and less risky at 147 is based on performance. Sure we can argue about weight, height, length and over all size all day but Ricky was a much better fighter at Jr WW than at WW. It looks to be playing out the same way with Tim....but one or two fights at 147 doesn't give us enough to go on. We'll see how he looks against PAC.
