Pac-Marg isn't even on the same planet as Oscar-Mayweather. With Kahn-***in Sky had a hard sell that they could prop up by offering Oscar-Mayweather with it.

Thats just not the case with Haye-Harrison and Pac-Marg. The Haye fight is an easy PPV sell for Sky and Pac-Marg isn't going to add much to that.

Anyone thinking they should've done can feel free to give Sky a donation if they feel bad about it. ****ing hell have they conditioned us into paying extra for fights to an extent that people are suspicious if we just get them as part of our (not cheap) subscription now?

It may not add "that" much but it would still add to it.

It was Oscar/Pacquiao bundled with the Khan/***an card not Oscar/Mayweather and in this country Pacquiao is a MUCH bigger name than he was then...

  5. yeh I reckon if you had them agaisnt semi decent opposition Pacquiao and Mayweather would be in the top 5 PPV draws in the UK.

With a standard UK undercard and Sky marketing push Pacquiao vs Mayweather could of done massive numbers. 500k plus on Sky if it had happened this year. everyone was talking about it, think its lost its spark now though.

Sky also have duty so show sports to their subscribers who pay £50 a month. If they don;t think a fight is going to add much revenue a PPV then they'll just show it for free. Thats whats happening.

Yup, Pacs a real household name in the UK.;) Lets be honest, the 2 situations just arn;t comparable are they?

A UK end they can't sell with a USA fight that everyone wants to see vs. a UK end thats an easy sell with a USA fight thats just a "fans fight".....

Haye is probably getting a big chunk of the ppv money. People will be going mad buying that anyway, maybe there just wasnt need to lump it in with a package.

Who cares - if you're really against paying for Haye-Harrison (of which, in the grand scheme of things, there aren't many) then you can see Pac-Margo withput shelling out for PPV.

    Well Done Sky!!

Don't know, but the less fights on PPV the better IMO.

Have we really got to the point where we now argue we should be paying more to watch a fight between multi millionaires?!

Cricky, who needs advertising and PR.

There's probably an aspect to it that some promoters didn't want the PPV money for Haye vs Harrison split in any way.

For those who haven't seen it:

    Pac and Margo face off!

There's something a little uneasy about this, I like it.

I agree, I've never ever liked them (in fact I've only ever seen the Calzaghe/Jones or was it Hopkins? one before and that was dire), but I like the way they sort of at least talk about the wraps and drug accusations in this one.

I like the way Roach says, I've seen your last two fights:yep, ie unaided.
