Why is Pacquaio fighting at catchweights and still p4p #1?

So now people knew back then that Oscar WOULD, as in BEFORE the fight, be weight drained at 147?:huh

Pac started at 108 and went up to l40. No catchweights.
And he intends to stay at l40 because that is the highest division that he can fight in considering his size. If the welterweights want to fight him, it has to be at a catchweight. Why he's pound for pound? It's because pound for pound is like shrinking two fighters of different divisions to compare their accomplishments. Manny is not a welterweight and he cannot fight a real welterweight like Floyd, Willaims, etc.

Mayweather is making a guy jump 2 weight divisions to fight him.

Pacquiao, a former flyweight and super-bantamweight champion who was at super-featherweight a year ago, is preparing to fight above 140lbs - almost unheard of in boxing history.

YOU COULD NOT MAKE THIS **** UP.

Floyd is not a real welterweight....Manny fights at 140 the same weight that Floyd fights at 147. Roughly 148 lbs... Paul Williams blows up to 160 in his welterweight fights...

This is a great post here.

For some reason people are so naive to think smaller guys didn't meet bigger guys somewhere in the middle. This has happened forever.

This is the only way to somehow even up the odds a little for the smaller guys.

    People need to read this.

He is a real welter weight or he would fight Marquez at 140. What other reason would he have for making Marquez come up 10 lbs.
He may not be the biggest welter but he is one nonetheless.
Floyd has always stayed in great shape through the years. When he's in fighting shape he's probably already at that weight a few weeks before the fight.

Lets not forget that before the fight everyone was bashing Oscar for "picking on a much smaller guy". As soon as Pac destroys him then Pac (who started his career at like 106) is bashed for not going up to 154.
