Who's watching the Pac-Algieri replay? Manny is so inaccurate, why is he missing so many punches? If he was a more accurate puncher and would cut off the ring he probably could get a stoppage.

  2. Volume punchers tend to miss more punches because they throw more. His accuracy is still abor average.

I remember when I used to box, I would throw a barrage of punches just to put the guy in a certain position. Then land the hard two three

At the end of the fight Pacquiao had 36-38%, which is good considering Algieri was just running. He was not out boxing, he was running.

In addition if you watched round 9, IMO Alegiri didn't make the 10 second count and the fight should've been stopped. Alegieri was just covering up and wasn't punching at all. The ref even pushed Pacquiao away during that round and gave Alegieri some time to breathed. That fight should've been over at the 9th round.

yep, there's a thing called throw away punches. Not ever punch needs to land, one punch sets up the other.

It's pretty damn hard to land with accuracy against guys with the mentality/gameplan of bradley and algieri….is that not obvious?

Tim was just in there to use wildly excessive upper body movement to make pac miss while algieri was just in their to prance around - neither guy had any intention of firing anything back.

People say Margs was his last great fight but what isn't said is all the fighters before that who faced pacquiao came to fight - since then everyone (mosley, marquez, bradley, algieri) has come off the back foot to run - you can make PAC look "bad" by his standards but you cannot win the fight and you'll be dominated on the cards. (unless of course you develop roid strength overnight like marquez)

True but a lot of times Manny is just jumping in with wild flurries, when he actually settles down and throws with intent he catches Chris clean but a lot of his punches are a bit sloppy and uncoordinated.... Manny is putting himself out of position a lot. If Algieri could/would counter he could of made this fight close, or at least competitive.

i thought he cut off the right pretty adequately the first few rounds...but then stopped doing so for reasons unknown.

He throws a lot and the opponent was running....a LOT. But with all of that said his connect percentage was great all things considered. If Manny was a more docile, conservative and less busy.....his numbers would be reflective of those factors.....Since he's NOT any of those things he will throw a 5 or 6 punch combo and land 3. That's not bad when he's scoring 6 knock downs or even 4 over 12 rounds of an opponent who's looking to survive.
