Pathetic, he couldn't beat the real Mayweather so he has to fight the poor man's version of him? Pacquiao's shoulders are miraculously going to be 100% in this fight.

Speaking of Floyd: didn't he do precisely the same thing with Juan Manuel Marquez -- to wit, fight a Light Welterweight -- when he made his return to the ring in 2009? :think

Pacquiao has selected Broner, because it will be an easy fight for Pacquiao; Broner doesn't throw anywhere nearly enough punches in a fight to be competitive against Pacquiao (loading up and throwing one shot at a time). Pacquiao is also as quick as Broner -- if not quicker -- and is more than likely the puncher (even after having lost his killer instinct).

Thus, Pacman beats Broner by wide decision.
Then Broner will act like the loss doesn't matter to him, like he did after losing to Porter.

Adrien Broner: you have been cherry picked!

Pacman tried to cherry pick floyd, floyd looked awful against Maidana, I wonder why the fight wasnt going to be made till floyd looked vulnerable. Now he's looking for another easy fight, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge pacfan, but this is just a new level of low.
Marquez and Broner are completely different situations. Marquez was on a nice streak while Broner is rebuilding after not taking his career seriously.

Floyd did significantly better in the second fight with Maidana, though.
Plus, he bewildered and totally schooled Canelo.

Meanwhile, Manny got ironed out by a pluperfect right hand from Marquez.

Despite this, many thought Manny would wipe Floyd out when they met -- which, I assume, was based on emotion, rather than reasoning.

Personally, I think Pacquiao has earned the right to cherry pick for what will probably be his final fight; Broner just happens to be the guy who will pose him the smallest threat and the least problems in-ring, and provide him with the biggest payday.

That was nearly 3 years later , Pacquaio was coming off 2 fights which he basically dominated, and one was against a p4p #3 according to a lot of people. Floyd looked rusty winning against Maidana 7-5 the first fight and 9-3 the second fight. We all know the old floyd wouldnt lose a second against Maidana, pac jumped at that chance.

wow, I was just calling you twitchy dude, don't get so twitchy, I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with it, just that you dive in on attack mode before you even know whats happening, like a dog that has been beaten, you growl first and ask questions later, you are twitchy, its not a crime :good

I would agree Pacquiao deserves to fight who he wants as his last fight. Mayweather as well but look at the criticism he got for picking Berto.
