No unlike you, I'm here to talk boxing, not desperately try and get certain users attention. At least you're honest with yourself though .

The payday Pacquiao would have got from making the Mayweather fight wouldn't have hurt, either.

Pacquiao, apparently, had financial troubles at the time, due to basically giving away most of his money. That, and the fact the Philippines government were chasing him for alleged non-payment of back taxes. The payday for fighting Mayweather would have got Manny out of schtuck, with regard to his finances.

As Manny is fond of saying to his close circle of friends, and to those who do business with him, "Show me the money."

The money+the fact that Floyd looked awful against Maidana were definitely why Pac took the fight. I'm a big pac fan, but it's very easy to see right through him.

I agree with you by the way, I just don't see why you are claiming Manny is being uncool for accepting it.

I'm glad manny finally grew a set and faced floyd, but going after broner next? Why? I can already see what's coming a mile away, he's going to destroy broner and claim that his shoulder is 100% and act like he just beat the next mayweather and demand a rematch. And after if floyd does come out of retirement we're going to have the same losers hating on floyd due to the fight being so easy.

I agree with you there. Remember when Floyd called Manny "a yellow chump", and said he was going to make Manny cook him some rice? Pacquiao was steaming mad upon learning about it, and promised never to fight Mayweather because of it.

Even though Mayweather was wrong to say what he said in that video clip, that Pacquiao went back on his promise to never fight Mayweather made him look like a hypocrite in the eyes of some.

I also believe Pacquiao irreparably damaged both his reputation and popularity with the furore about his injured shoulder; it made him seem completely ungracious. It appeared that he was having a hard time trying to comprehend quite how he lost to Mayweather, and having difficulty accepting that Mayweather was thr better man on the night (he said in the post-fight interview that he thought he'd beaten Mayweather, scarcely believing it himself), and so he used his injured shoulder as an excuse to try and justify his failure.

But, as previously stated, I believe Manny has earned the right to cherry pick his opponent for his final contest. I very much doubt he selects a Thurman or a Spence for significantly less money than he would get for facing Broner, while at the same time, running the risk of getting battered by either of those.

If Broner takes **** seriously you never know tbh, if he takes this fight lightly like he did against Porter he'll lose forsure. The kid has so much potential, but he's almost as lazy as chavez jr.

Instead of going to the club and hanging out at the gym the night before fights like against Porter, he needs to stay focused.

It would be quite something to see about 300 of Pacquiao's punches seeping through Broner's wonderfully porous defence.

so what, Floyd wont care, he will school Manny again and walk away with even more millions and power to him,,,,

Floyd's day will come, by that I mean, once he retires for real so many of his haters will turn to fans, trust me.

You sound like you care more than Floyd about this potential injustice :think

Seeing Broner's head used as a speed bag for 30 seconds at a time, and then shaking his head no at Manny and then taking another 30 second speed bagging ad nauseum for 12 rounds would be glorious.

Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao era is over, it's time to move on. A rematch will only **** off more casual boxing fans that will be disappointed in the difference of a skill level between Floyd and Pacquiao and will promote more hatred and racism.

Broner could be doing so much more with his career. If he doesn't focus on living the life, he could be in danger of becoming a weird sideshow attraction due to his antics away from the ring and the gym.
