Why is Pacquiao risking a mega match against Floyd?

I don't get why he would risk this match fighting someone like Cotto. I am a Cotto fan and I'm happy that he's getting a big payday,
but I don't get why would Pac risk it, I mean Cotto is a serious threat no matter what everyone says. Maybe he's 100% sure he
can beat Cotto, but IMO it's a bad move.

Then again if he beats Cotto, a fight against Floyd will be even bigger.

    What you guys think?

    Cotto is 90/10 to Pac

PBF is 70/30 maybe 65/35 in favour of Floyd

I don't really think it would make a fight with Floyd any bigger, they're already both big names. And it is a dangerous fight for him so it doesn't seem to make much sense. Would it be naieve to think that he genuinely wants to fight the other big names?

I think he should get props for fighting Cotto.

Manny Pacquiao already knows that Mayweather is too stubborn to go 50-50 on a match so he might as well move on better things. He probably wants to try on getting another belt on another division. Who knows, its his legacy.

Who will he fight then? Valero??bradley?? if he looses against cotto he can come up with a lot of excuses but if he looses against valero or bradley there is no excuses whatsoever

because thats who he is. pacs fights have always been big risks for him. every fight had that sudden death quality in them. it is only after that haters diminish his fights.

Because he actually gives a **** about the fans and he doesn't need Mayweather to be "The Man" he's going out there and taking risks while building his legacy. Much respect to Pac. taking on Cotto is probably the biggest challenge I've seen in my life time.
