Why is PBF bothering to fight Hatton?

If a win against a undefeated prime 43-0 P4P fighter doesn't add to his legacy then i don't know what will.

Ofcourse there are other fights out there that can even add a bit more to his legacy but he thinks Ricky is the easiest of those fights.

 

I think that says it all.......

Hatton IMO is the biggest challenge outside of MAYBE Mosley. Floyd gets props for taking such a tough fight he probably could have avoided.

That being said, Hatton will win this.

 

I think the hardest challange for Floyd or for any other fighter like Hatton, Mosley, Cotto etc. is Paul Williams. The reach alone is a HUGE advantage + he has got good skills.

 

The fight has the spectre of a 'big fight': American Vrs European, Black guy Vrs White guy, both undefeated, so its easy to hype up. But in reality its just one great boxer beating up a chubby bum.

 

The best fight for the money , as far as Floyd is concerned.
As far as many of Floyds fans, it seems they like to diminish Hatton, who is an accomplished fighter, worthy of a shot at the best fighter in the world today.But to hear Mayweather tell it, and many of his followers , Hatton has a bloated record, he fought bums and old men, he's slow, and he's a *****.But Pretty Boy is no dope.He trains hard all the time, and leaves nothing to chance.It does seem kind of ignorant to degrade your opponent , but at the same time demand historical credit for beating him, thats Floyds way.The best Hatton can hope for is to give him a decent tussle,and thats how it should happen.Gatti and Baldomir were a full step below Hatton in ability, but no one beats Mayweather, except maybe Cotto, for a while now.

 

It's a fight people want to see. Especially all of Ricky's fans in the UK.

 

Ricky Hatton is a top ten P4P fighter, 43-0 record and the ring magazine champ at 140.

This is no bum, this is a fighter right at his peak so beating Hatton would do wonders for Floyd's Legacy.

Some people are grossly underestimating Hatton's chances in this one.

 

The fight is happening because of the money on the table. I think bar Cotto & Mosley this is the biggest fight out there for Mayweather. If he is silly enough to take Hatton lightly and believe the talk his has been mouthing off since the fight was announced, he is going to be in for a rude awakening on the night of the fight. However, Floyd is a professional and I don't believe for one second that he doesn't rate/respect Hatton as a fighter. This make no bones about it is going to be a tough fight for Mayweather and he may need to dig down deeper then ever before, to get the victory. I for one can't wait until both fighters finally get in the ring with one another and we get what could easily be not only fight of the year, but one of the great fights of all time.

 

If you are depending on one punch to win for Hatton, you are actually saying that Hatton has only a slim chance to win.
