I like this guy and had big hopes with his HW career but after Chambers someting goes wrong

It's over 2 years after win with Eddie in IBF eliminator, which made Russian the number 1 pretender

After Sykes his nex opponent was Estrada, quite good, tough and inconvenient opponent. But as I remeber there were some problems with chosing rival and Estrada was chosen about 3 weeks form the fixed term. So he got only 3 weeks to prepare!!!Before Adamek Estrada was on, as he said, his best camp which last about 9 weeks!!!

Ok Sasha's fight with Estrada was close as probably every Estrada fight( vs Adamek it also was aligned)

Next was Nolan--good win for Russian but Nolan isn't even a decent level

And now Javier Mora---remember what Sultan Ibragimov did in less then a minute:):)

But first it was Dominic Guinn, Mora was set about 10 days before fight----??? WTF???

What is Sasha's and Atlas's aim???

I dont know, I think Povetkin is just not ready for Klits(probalby nobody in current HW is ready)

Povetkin with Haye may be quite interesting, also Povetkin vsAdamek/Arreola, Povetkin vs Solis(two Olympic gold medalists)

But why is he fighting so week opponents? He is quite experienced, of course probalby he needs more fights, but 4me he is just overprotected

P.S Sasha's victim from IBF eliminator 2 years ago is now facing Wlad:):)
    Boxing is so complicated:):)

I also find it strange his best competition was against oppenents with no power. Donald, Bryd, Chambers. Estrada doesn't even have a KO ratio of over 20% the last time I checked. The guys I named, dont have over a 50% KO ratio.

He's had his chance to fight Wlad a couple times, and declined everytime it seems. I have a feeling he will get the winner of Peter/Aguilera. Which is an IBF eliminator fight. Povetkin will have no choice to either fight Peter or Wlad. I say fight Wlad, why take an unneeded chance with Peter unless he has to.

Its like he's waiting for Wlad to get old or dethroned by someone else.

He is next in line, so lets see if he takes it.

The Teddy Atlas re-train seems like an admission that he knew he was being set up for a slaughter, but there are no excuses now.

I assume Atlas and the camp know something we don't. Has Povetkin had issues in sparring with big puncher's i wonder?

I think its smart not letting hype take over and getting into a Klitschko fight too soon, but he should really step it up and fight a top 15 guy soon. I would have thought Peter would be an easy night for Povetkin

He should fight Kevin Jonhson actually. Not much power, and throws few punches. The man is tailor made for him

I think Povetkin suffers from extreme lack of confidence. He probably has mental problems. Ever since the Estrada fight his head isn't screwed on and Atlas (Mr. Psycho) probably just made matters worse.

He may have to fight Peter after he defeats Nagy Aguilera in his IBF eliminator match this fri on FNF or FSN.

A flat footed plodder like Peter is tailor made for Povetkin's tweaked style that Atlas is teaching him. Peter would get busted up and quit again.

Povetkin's afraid to taste Peter's power. Look at all Povetkin's best oppenents, they all have one thing in common. No power! Povetkin already pussed out of a Klitschko fight, even Peter called him out a few months ago. Povetkin's chin is just waiting to get exposed, and I'm sure you will be the first one to make fun of it.:good

I can never tell with you. Are you just pretending to be a Klit hater?

What power? Peter's best KO is Glass Jaw Maskaev. After that he has KOed nobody of note. All his KO's are against C and D level opposition. Peter has not KOed any of the upper level fighters he has fought.

Povetkin was moved fast in the beginning this is most likely Atlas' doing and I suspect Teddy will eventually ruin Povetkin like he has just about everyone else he has trained.

Either way I do think Povetkin/Peter would be an interesting fight maybe Boxing After Dark or Show Box would pick it up?
