If you're upset at Floyd for 'ducking' Sexio, you're a moron. It's not his job to fight middleweights and supermiddleweights.

Sexio refuses to fight ANY credible middleweight, and you maximus gayus mancrushing Sexio fans are jumping on a smallish welterweight for 'ducking' the middleweight champ? A champ who won't even defend his title against good middleweights?

    **** is wrong with you?

Money May has already fought at 154, he can do it again, Sergio is fighting at 154...

    What is the problem?

I couldn't agree more. Sergio's back up list in case
the floyd fight doesn't happen at 160 is Macklin,
Rubio(though he does deserve it), or Lee. None
of those aforementioned guys are ranked in the
top 5 of the rings rankings. However, there are 2
that have wanted the fight that are ranked on
everybody's top 160lb list, and 1 of those guys
has vehemently campaigned for the challenge
and even impressed against a highly touted and
undefeated prospect that our major american
cable giant endorsed. There's no reason why
sergio would have to fight Rubio, Lee, or macklin
and even call out green, overhyped soon to be
ex WBC champion chavez jr if he was a true p4p
fighter. He can't fall back on the excuse of a money
fight unless he gets one. I'd rather sergio just vacate
the RING mag title at 160 then go on calling himself
the middleweight champion without defending against
the most credible and deserving challengers.

Chavez brings some loot. Cotto's got some pull as well. Why not move up and fight Bute for 3 mil.

Sergio has $$$$ fights at 154-168, but he'd rather fight a 145lb Floyd. I almost wish Floyd would take it, bring Cortes along, and elbow Sergio until he looks like quasimoto.

If he wanted HBO, he had to fight Dzin, who was perfectly credible anyway. Fighting Williams was a no-brainer, considering the first fight, and he was a Ring-ranked top ten middleweight. Barker was the undefeated European champ and proved he was worthy of being in the ring with him. It's, of course, standard fare for world champs to fight both Euro champs and North American champs. And if he fights Macklin-that's the number three Ring-ranked middleweight in the world. So, I'm not sure what your problem is, really. :huh

Whos he ducking? HBO has to be interested in his opponents you know or they won't take the fight, this is business, he has bills to. So I say again, who is he ducking? And if you say he's ducking then back it up with proof, links and real evidence. Nuff of these threads with no backbone, just opinions.

Barker fight was bad but as long as he fights Lee, Macklin, Pirog, Sturm, Geale, Rubio, Golovkin or hell even Chavez Jr-Manfredo winner next he will be fine.

Macklin is ranked in the top 3 by The Ring, ahead of Pirog (7) and Golovkin (unranked). If you're going to criticize Martinez, it helps if you know what you're talking about.

At his age Sergio aint even supposed to be competing yet what he's accomplished is very remarkable. Sergio is the man to beat 154-160, not anyone else even the mighty Golovkin. Sergio would be favored over all of them.

i do, and those are bull**** oscar ratings. no way should macklin
be #3 in the world, and it would help if you actually could watch
the sport and be able to think for yourself before YOU post, instead
of learning the sport off of posts on website's and magazine ratings.
