So it is it an advantage (big) or a disadvantage (weight-drained)? I'll answer. If he loses, he was weight-drained. If we wins, he was "huge" for the weight and had an unfair advantage. If he goes to welterweight, he could be in with Kell Brook, Thurman, Porter. Oh no, now he's undersized. Should he go back down to 140? No! DonnyMo, thinks he's too big for 140, so he has to go up to 147 and fight Kell Brook, who if he happens beat, was weight-drained.
cause hes busy whoopin up dudes at 140. i think he should work on a smart plan for moving into 147, while he firmly establishes himself as the daddy of 140lb division. let the welters sort themselves out and target the weakest champion available for your first fight there. i think that by the end of next year, the welterwight division will have separated the hype from the truth and he will know which fight makes most sense.
Crawford is bigger than Thurman and Porter? Crawford fought at 132 in the amateurs. Porter at 165. Thurman at 152. Does that tell you anything?
He's just a kid and he's already moved up. He's definitely going to eventually be competing at 147 in the future so what's the big deal?
Completely disagree with you. He just moved up to 140 and has business to handle at that weight. I think he should look to move to WW by the end of 2017.
The hell? Postol is a world beater, he is a world class operator and a champion. Crawford makes 140, why on earth would he move when he has a chance to unify the division and become a star?
Yep. Plenty of other GGG fans been chipping in on this thread, all defending Crawford against this remarkable complaint.
Because he is an 140 fighter? He was lightweight not much time ago, you can't jump divisions like that, see what happened to Broner.
