What the hell just happened to that fight? It was supposed to be in Palm Springs on March 6th. Dirrell supposedly hurt his back, postponed the fight, and now it's in a place unreachable to many of Arthur Abraham's fans. I made a thread about this earlier, but I think Dirrell is trying to keep the fight away from many of Arthur's Armenian fans in California, where there is a lot of Armenians. I don't understand why they would choose to go so far away from the original venue, except for that one reason. There are a dozen places in California and Nevada where they could have had the fight.

p.s. I already had my tickets and had to get a refund as a result of the change.

Because this is Dirrell's home venue fight and his home is in Michigan, not California.

That really sucks. I was planning on heading out for that fight. Oh well, anybody else going to Arreola/Adamek in Ontario?

    It won't matter.

Abraham is going to show exactly why he's the favorite (for some) to take the tourney. He'll get by Dirrell and then destroy Froch. :hey

Joe Louis Arena is only a 3 and a half hour drive from Toronto.A stop at the Casino,a dinner in Greektown and then a short drive to the Arena.Sounds like a road trip if I can talk a couple of my buddies into it!:good

Wow, huge home field advantage swing. Shows you how confident Sauerland must be to be OK with this switch.

Anyone know where Dirrell is training for this fight?

There were problems with the venue before the fight was postponed for the first time. Sauerland said that there was no suitable location available. Maybe they wanted the fight to happen in Michigan at this time.

Then it was supposed to happen on march 6th in California, now Dirrell was injured and the new location is near his home. So where´s the problem?

It would have been great to have the fight in Palm Springs with Darchinyan on the undercard, but Abraham has to travel to america like Dirrell had to travel to Nottingham or Taylor to Berlin. So it´s fair that Dirrell has the home advantage and his fans there.

I have a feeling that Direll is going to dominate this fight and win every round, just to be laid out on a stretcher in the 12th.
