Why Is The Antonio DeMarco Fight The Undercard On Saturday Instead Of.........

There's a reason why Demarco is on tv, and not Cunningham. I can't remember if it was Steve Kim or Dan Rafael who talked about this, but one of them explained it.

Gary Shaw is the main promoter of the card. He was the one in charge of who was on the televised bout. Antonio Demarco is a Gary Shaw fighter, and one of his best prospects. The other promoter involved with the card is Don King, who promotes Steve Cunningham,but he had no say in the televised bouts.

Shaw wanted to make sure his fighter got the exposure, so he chose to televise Demarco's fight. It wasn't Showtime's decision. It makes sense if your Gary Shaw.

 

Jones and Mormeck were in 2005.

The last CW fight before Showtime showed Banks vs Adamek was Enzo vs Macca. They've been gradually scaling back on CW fights recently...they skipped out on the big Cunningham vs Adamek fight.

 

It's co-promoted by Don King.... Agbeko is a Don King fighter...... I think the guy that DeMarco is fighting is also a Don King fighter...

 

Is the othe guy Anges Adjaho thats fighting DeMarco was he hand picked for him.....

I've explained this about 20 times before. It's Gary Shaw's timeslot on Showtime, so he's promoting his fighter. Cunningham is a DKP fighter, so he doesn't get on. Stupid, but that's the story.
