Ok, let's put it this way, due you see a natural 160 version of Spence, Shakur, and Crawford struggling against Brakley? Honestly, I think a 160 version of POrter beats Barkeley.

Doesn't mean that those fighters are better. What evidence do we have that Jones would beat GGG when he never fought a style like GGG

    1. You’ve never seen that fight.

    2. It wouldn’t have been a 50/50 fight, as Floyd was past his peak at WW, where he was a more cautious fighter. As soon as Ray had fought him aggressively, he’d have put Floyd on the defensive, which would have negated Floyd’s own offense.

Floyd never fought anyone with equal speed and offensive skills, and who was also bigger, stronger and significantly more powerful than what he was.

It would have been a huge shock to him.

Do you not even read the responses?

I’ve already said that I’m a big fan of Crawford.

I’ve said that unfortunately, he hasn’t fought any great fighters, but on the eye test, he certainly has a style to have bothered Duran.

This is your last chance with me.

If you want to debate, then we can.

If you want to be stupid, then I’m out.

No, they never fought anyone as skilled.

    Neither did Mike Tyson.

So I guess Loma would have caused Mike issues too, huh?

    Stop being an idiot.

You're acting like being 50/50 against Floyd is a bad thing. Benitez was no slouch. Very good defensive fighter with some pop.

How did Hearns struggle with Duran?

    What are you talking about?

I’ve already discussed a Spence fight.

I think Errol would have boxed with Hearns.

He’s not aggressive like Marvin was, and he doesn’t possess Marvin’s strength or power.

So it’s highly unlikely that he’d have jumped on Hearns and overpowered him or knocked him out.

    Who lost to Mugabi?

You can’t even spell their names correctly.

    Benitez was a fine fighter.

Again, Barkley was a bad stylistic match up, and up at Hearns’ 3rd weight class.

    Of course.

    And?

Once again, Spence hasn’t got the style of guys like Marvin and Barkley.

It’s no different from looking at Floyd’s career and then asking “Canelo was better than Maidana on a P4P basis, wouldn’t you agree?”

Floyd embarrassed Canelo, yet then struggled against a crude Maidana less than a year later.

Spence could possibly have beaten Duran. But it’s hard to say at this point.

We’ve no idea how Spence would do against elite JMW’s and MW’s.

Spence would definitely have had issues with Barkley.

A prime Michael Nunn had huge issues with Barkley.

    Porter had similarities with Barkley.

    Both tough, physical fighters.

We have more evidence that Roy would have beaten GGG than vice versa.

Now go and compare GGG’s current MW division to the one from the early 90’s.

Do that and then come back with Ertwin and tell us all how the sport’s progressed.
