Another point, Margarito was found with illegal pads, but the wraps were never determined to be plaster wraps after being tested, but the pads were still foreign objects.

You cannot punish someone with no proof. IF these pads had been proven to be made of Plaster of Paris, then he would have been banned from the sport for life by every credible organization.

But they were not and by that logic Margarito will get his license reinstated next year, regardless of what we or some else may think.

    See what I am saying?

Is the ring belt even a recognized championship belt?

It is the oldest and considered proof of lineage.

It is also the most respected because it is not corrupted by a sanctioning body, sanctioning fees, mandatories, and their judges scoring fights. It is earned inside the ring only.

Many, if not most consider the Ring belt holder as the true division Champion.

So was he friggen guilty of cheddar or not? Why'd they suspend his ass if it was inconclusive, but oh wait it was a hard pad?

Guilty of trying to use illegal pads inside the wraps, obviously.

And the answer is that they didn't. Despite you repeatedly telling everyone in this thread that 'Shane is linear champion', almost nobody credible actually considers that to be the case.

Cotto v Margarito couldn't settle the linear vacancy because generally Margarito was ranked three behind Williams (Williams beat Margarito and had avenged his defeat to Quintana).

Margarito v Mosley couldn't settle the linear vacancy because everyone had Mosley ranked three behind Cotto (Mosley had lost to Cotto in his last fight at the weight so how could he be ranked in front of him or considered one of the best two WWs?)

    Guilty as charged.

You realize its reasonable to expect that he was cheating before he got caught. This is how cheaters do things ya know?

This is wrong. You need to actually find out what these terms mean. The ring belt is merely one attempt at determining lineage and is becoming a less and less perfect one. It's very possible to be ring belt holder without being tha generally considered ring champion.

Jones, Tarver, Hopkins and Calzaghe all managed it at LHW. Adamek at CW and Wlad Klitschko at HW are both ring belt holder but not lineal champion.

Yeah, guilty of putting foreign objects into his wraps, for that he got a one year suspension.

That may be so, but there is no proof whatsoever. Its simply Logic.

The Ring Belt may not be perfect, but it is the best one out there and it will never please everybody.

Jones was crowned champ because he was the recognized number one LHW after the lapse of the Ring Magazine in the early 90's, then Tarver beat him, then Hopkins beat Tarver, and JC beat Hopkins. They were the number one fighters whether we like them or not. Wlad became the ring champion because he beat Chagaev, 1 vs 3. Vlad is number 2 but these two are never going to fight each other, so what actually occurred made sense.

    /facepalm

There is proof, he cheated and got caught. By extension he gives up any rights to his previous work, because he knowingly put everything he achieved on the line. And by his cheating everything he achieved is tainted.

By getting caught he admits to cheating now and forever before. Every event you partake in you admit to not cheating and abiding by sanctioned rules which prohibits cheating.

Ex. Marion Jones, who repeatedly lied about the fact that she was doping.

The United States Anti-Doping Agency stated that the sanction "also requires disqualification of all her competitive results obtained after September 1, 2000, and forfeiture of all medals, results, points and prizes". On October 5, 2007, Jones formally pled guilty to lying to federal agents in the BALCO steroid investigation in the U.S. District Court.ore.

If the clear number one and two won't fight then what makes sense is for the lineage to remain vacant...

I think it was in the state of Indiana that Roid Jones got caught. I had forgotten about it. Long time ago though.
