It took me about a day to get it mastered. It's all a rhythm. I learned from this video

What kind of swivel are you using? Me, I started out with the cheap "S" hook with the plastic ball bearing and after a few weeks, I still was not too good at it. I ended up copping the professional everlast swivel and after a good three weeks, I was pretty nice (Mind you, I did not spend more than 10 min each day practicing). This is is swivel.

Now everybody on youtube seems to be using the better made swivel and I'm starting to believe anyone can hit like a pro with it. The shape is similar to this one. It looks like the swivel rarely spins around.

Even this mother seems to do okay after 3 weeks.

I started with the S swivel and had it down in about 3 days. I switched to the everlast pro swivel a few weeks after. I think it's better but I had no problems with either.

A problem a lot of folks have is that they try to push through the bag too much, then their hand goes too far passed it and they cant get back on point fast enough to hit it again. Try using a tight circular motion that goes up, hits it, and rolls back down to your chin in one smooth motion. Where you watch the bag isn't very important, but when I started I focused on the swivel. Can do it with my eyes closed or looking another direction now.

edit: Oh I forgot to tell you: If you want to start slow, don't inflate the bag fully, let it have a little give. Practice on that a day or two at a slower speed, then inflate the bag more and it will swing faster. I like my bag as tight as I can get it now but I remember in the beginning I kept it a bit soft.

I found it very easy to learn but also very useless to boxing.

Hit it in triplets. Use a relaxed cadence. Practice transitions. Hooray for everything.
