    Their slogan/tagline is:

'I' stands for Integrity. The Champion of Integrity. There can only be ONE number ONE.

  2. The WBO has simply been around longer... Bigger name fighters are fighting for the WBO belt, giving it more credibility than the IBO.

That being said, they are all equally worthless.

Naz, Oscar and calzaghe made the wbo worthwhile. When was the ibo even created? I'm only recently hearing about it

Overall, the WBO is regarded much more highly in the UK, particularly Wales, than in the States. Over here, it is a fringe belt. Over there, it is Joe Cal's legacy.

The IBO is not considered significant anywhere.

This IBO belt could damn well become relevant. If they rank fair they could work themselves into the mix. All of the belts started off as irrelevant an worked into the mix. I look at the fighters though not the belts, lmao **** it. You already got the "diamond, "regular", "emeritus" . Do we really need more though? hell no

The IBO uses computerized rankings to try and establish a unbiased list. It was established in 1992. Here's the Orgs history/origin

The WBO was established 1988. Here's the Orgs history/origin

Both have a good history of being tied to good-great boxers. So in general WBO has 4 more yrs under it's belt.

IBF also started off basically unrecognized
"The belt was created by Bob Lee after he did not receive the approval to be nominated president of the WBA. He then decided to leave the organization and create this new title. At first it was not seen as a major belt but Larry Holmes won the title and defended it many times, bringing the belt to the mainstream and to the elite prominence it has in the sport today. I always liked the IBO as its more a ring title fight .

i know when Hatton fought Paulie they both gave up the chance to fight for the IBF and fought for the IBO.

Hatton defended this against Manny and it was recognised as being for the unidisputed 140 lbs champ. No question.

    :deal

The IBF was the very definition of a "fringe title" until Larry Holmes told the WBA/BC to go **** themselves, dumped their trinkets in a trash can, and wore/defended the IBF belt.

The IBO should knock Tommy off that list immediately. That's just not a good sign. He was their Cruiserweight IBO champion.
