Casamayor was the best at that weight but he lost to Chico, Popo and Castillo. That is comedy. Though I thought he beat Freitas and Castillo could of been a draw but **** that, I am not a boxing judge.

Fact still remains that Floyd is a "ducker" at Jr Welter...he couldn't even hold Ricardo Torres's jock!!

OK...that time is long gone...what's his excuse now!! Both cable networks are making the fights happen...what's the excuse now? Now he's chosen to take 2 years off...what a coward!!

This is inaccurate. Kostya Tszyu was hurt when PBF moved up to 140, so PBF decided to go after the next highest ranked champion (also the most money) which was Gatti. Both fights he fought there prior to that fight were title eliminators. As soon as KT was able to go, he wanted his belt back and signed to fight Mitchell, who was the fighter he was intending/signed to fight before his injury. In the meantime, Hatton won the IBF eliminator fight, and was next in line for the winner. KT beat Mitchell, and his team decided without speaking to him mind you, that the Hatton offer was the best way to go, and he signed to fight Hatton.

This has been by far Floyd's best year...he beat a "past his prime" De La Hoya and a one dimensional midget like Hatton...Wow, what a legacy!!

That is inaccurate...Gatti was not the next highest rated champion...who did Gatti beat to win that bogus title? He was the least regarded of all the Jr Welter strap holders!!

He was actually rated the highest by Ring at the time, which is what is generally used here on this boxing forum as the most legit set of rankings. Gatti was rated the #1 Jr WW, with Kostya Tszyu being rated as the "champion" by Ring.

I will not list off who he defeated as you can find this yourself, and as you have proven already in this thread, you will simply call them bums or any one of a million degrading names simply to prove a point, which is subjective at best.

I don't recall him hanging his hat on anything. Perhaps he is proud of the money earned. Others have given him praise for this year. But Mayweather has had many very good wins. If you don't recall them, then you are either rating his wins much too low (Corrales, Hernandez, Chavez, etc) or you don't know enough about his career to make such an assessment to begin with.

Casamayor did not beat Castillo. It was a draw at best for Casamayor. Floyd swept the early rounds clean and clear as some seem to have senile dementia during that fight and only watch rounds 6-9 and forget that Floyd won 10 and 11 as well. I will destroy you on breaking down that first fight in which floyd won closely but clearly. Round by round, punch thrown by punch landed. Castillo did not land **** until the 5th-6th round. His body work was sloppy at best and not effective in the slightest as Floyd finished the stronger fighter.

Either the 10th or 11th could have gone to Castillo. I don't remember which one, but in one of those rounds Castillo outlanded Mayweather by a fair margin.

I'll tell you who he beat...Silvio Branco!! What a beast in that division...Gatti was simply a fan favorite, but a very flawed fighter...I don't have to call anyone a bum to prove my point. I am simply calling out Floyd's trend of not fighting the best of any weight class!!

I see you simply dodged around my original point and went on to the next. Hernandez was the best at 130. Castillo was the best at 135. Hatton publicly turned him down at 140, 2 seperate times (the articles have been posted many times here). He has not fought all the best fighters at 147. At 154, DLH was certainly one of the 3 best fighters there, even at his age, and there is currently no way of knowing who the best fighter is there, since the champions for the most part are old. There is no "trend" as you put it. There will always be a fighter for Mayweather to fight....
