Why is there hardly any talk of James Toney fighting Holyfield?

Constantly we have to put up with these two totally shot dinosaurs calling out the elite of the division without doing jack ****, both have done nothing for the last 5 years in fact. Why is there no talk of them facing each other? Surely that fight is worthy of a PPV in American with two legends squaring off against each other.

I really don't see any other worth while fights out there for either man. Who knows, maybe the winner of that could get another semi decent fight from this. Would actually make a fight with the winner of Chagaev/Povetkin plausible and not a total joke.

    That fight already happened.

    And Holyfield took a beating.

Not interested in seeing that again.

Yeah 10 years ago when Toney was actually worth a damn. Why not fight each other now that they're both totally shot?

Holy wouldnt take it anyway!! He wants a free and easy shot at a title and not take a fight that would be the final nail in his coffin to end his career. He's not the kind of fighter that wants to avenge a loss....for him its too high risk for very low reward.

Looking at Toney in that fight with Holy tho...he was in great shape - he actually looked like an athlete in there for once!

I'd buy it. I want to see a rematch with a Holy shoulder that is functioning right.

But I'd really love to see a match of James Toney vs Nicolai Valuev. Man that would be a freak show and much more entertaining than Holy's dancing with the stars effort. Toney would actually try to fight the beast by wading inside. I believe Toney would put in a much better effort than the disgraceful performances of Holyfield and David Gaye.

I'd watch it. At least both are ATG's. And it would be more interesting than their recent opponents.

Not interested - as many people - and probably the reason it'll never happen again.
