Everyone ranks fighters but there's no conglomeration of them from journalists that cover the sport to provide a true definitive ranking of what the conventional wisdom of who is better than who. We know the alphabet orgs' ratings are not gospel, and boxing being more or less a global sport, you can have enough people providing input to the rankings to remove regional biases. The only downside is the number of divisions and maybe a Thai journalist knows little about heavyweights or a U.S. journalist knows little about flyweights, but you can just assign certain divisions to certain journalists so they can focus and not getting overburdened or cover divisions with fighters they know little about. and for the record, not P4P, P4P rankings are mythology to the extreme
