The weight you've lost is artificial.

You've lost 20 lbs, mostly water weight,in a very short period of time. Simply rehydrating puts the weight back on, the and just eating normally, puts you back at the weight you were 4-5 days previously.

You weigh 180 a week out from the fight, you start cutting, dehydrating, cutting way back on calories etc. You make the weight, then you're back at your normal weight 36 hours later.

Like i keep trying to get across,it really isnt rocket science. Sure a trained nutritionist can help you do it safer, but fighters have been doing it for years and years.

Dry your body out to the point where you're extremely dehydrated, and then simply rehydrate, thats most of the weight put on right there.

The fact that you can now eat and dont train the day before the fight puts on the rest.

Agreed. And yes Ortiz did way 155-165 against Mayweather I remember that aswell as Clottey basically fighting as a MW at WW. The problem is not necessarily the weight gain its if he's using banned substances to stay at the weight.

Don't wanna hear "at least its not testosterone, loaded gloves,etc.". That's like a ****** saying "at least I don't **** kids". Still in the wrong and still cheating. Also its not like Chavez boxes people either he imposes his size. Yes Lee was big too but at least he made the weight fairly we can't say the same for Chavez.

Again Martinez will be facing a bigger guy and should get props for beating him even if Jr isn't all that good.

:deal Just said something to this category.
