A lot of it is backlash against some of the fighters he trains. Pac is target #1 of all Mayweather fans, Jr. gets a lot of hate across the boards, and Khan is the one guy universally hated.

Plus, any time a man is very successful, he will acquire his own haters.

 

Because he's over rated as a trainer as Manny is a fighter. Ariza deserves a **** ton more credit for Freddy Roach fighters then the joke Roach. His boxers skills are terrible and even shittier without the conditioning granted by Ariza.

 

Probably because everbody started hyping him as the greatest trainer ever and he himself got quite cocky because of it.

 

For one thing, he threw a big fit with the way Oscar DLH wrapped his hand before stepping into the ring with Pacquiao. He complained about the rolled pieces of tape the were placed on the nuckles creating ridges. Oscar re-wrapped his hands. Ok, cool.

But then Freddy Roach wrapped Manny Pacquiao hand in the same manner creating these ridges on the knuckles and Robert Garcia complaints were ignored. Margo suffered a broken orbital bone in that fight.

Why did Roach complain about it when a fighter was going to used that method against his fighter, but then did it himself against another fighter. Because he's a shyster and uses his Parkinsons to gain sympathy.

Then before the JCC Jr vs Andy Lee fight, Emmanual Stewart asked to weigh the gloves. Roach threw a big fit saying he didn't have to it wasn't in the rules. Stewart said just do it out of good sportsmanship and put his gloves on the scale and Roach, repeated I don't have to it's not in the rules. Freddy cocka Roach is scum do not be fooled.

These are just some examples of the shystee things he does. I used to be inspired by him mainly do to his illness, but I started paying closer attention to his actions and saw him for what he truely is.

I don't want to use the word hate, that is too strong of a word. I'd rather say I've lost respect for him.

 

He trains Pac, JCC Jr and trained Khan. They all attract hate, so the trainer naturally gets it to.

 

Lets not forget that most of Freddy's recent fighters are almost assuredly on PEDS. - and there's no way that Roach would not be aware of this.

 

He is *slightly* overrated

Pacquiao was his wonder child.. that's about it....

Without Pac what is Roach?
