Quiet personality and lack of elite power to make up for it. He can box, but he'd prefer to out brawl a guys than school him with flash. He just carries out his business- reminds me a bit of Kovalev in that regard. Some guys have a cult of personality, others are just damn tough and show up for work ready to grind out another days work and whoop who's in front of them. I'm a big fan of Bradley- achieving a well earned P4P ranking, great resume, and making a fortune is a fantastic career. If he had more pop, he could've been a special fighter, and more popular.
Bradley has undergone the most beyond critique schedule you can probably find in boxing since he made the leap from his ShoBox prospect days.
It's kind of like how Danny Garcia is overrated. He got some good gift decisions that elevated his profile and then he fought a guy who was ready to retire and little more than a punching bag, which made him temporarily look like a monster. Plus, he's a very good fighter in his own right, just not as good as some people make him out to be.
Bradley with knockout power would be a frightening vision. Despite him being featherfisted, he gives everyone hell and makes it very hard to beat him. He always finds a way to win. Literally The only fighter that made it look easy is Manny Pacquiao . But Not every one is Manny and not everyone can do the same things Manny can.
DSG is not overrated at all. Everyone is well aware by now that he will never be the best and has no chance of beating any of the top WWs. Bradley on the other hand is way more respected.
I guess this is just a case of different perspectives, but I for one can not fathom seeing the world through lenses colored with the perspective of Danny Garcia of all people not being overrated while Tim Bradley of all people is.
Maybe, but Maidana and Canelo get overrated around here all the time just because they got beaten by major fighters too. It's just something that happens for whatever reason.
No way is he over rated,to lose to Manny P is no shame,he was exciting and was a real warrior in the ring who was prepared to fight fire with fire, good solid Boxer. I just hope that people don't judge today's boxers on account of if they've got a loss to their name or not as that's the one thing that I hate about Floyds undefeated record, not his record per say but how it's changed the game?
Vargas or Chaves? I don't think he beat Pac the first time. I had Provodnikov beating him by a point and Marquez should have gotten a draw. But his light welterweight record is legit. I wish he'd stop bulking up so much because he carries too much muscle for a man his size and if he just jogged more and got lean again he could be fighting Crawford or Broner right now. Still, even though I don't think he's made from the stuff of greatness, I definitely agree that he's been a top 5 welterweight for the last four years, and would have competitive matches with any welterweight not named Pacquiao or Mayweather.
