Why is Tim Bradley so damn overrated?

at the elite level hes lacking the full pack for sure, but hes got elite commitment for sure and world ranked in other areas.

The judging on that fight was a farce like it was when Canelo fought Cotto. Those fights were a lot closer than people like to admit but the narrative was that we got a young hungry lion who's going to embarrass the old timer. Young guy got credit for punches that didn't land or were blocked, while the old lion got no credit for craft and the moves he made. People saw Bradley stalking Marquez and Marquez moving backwards, but they didn't take into account that Marquez is a counter puncher.

JJM vs Bradley
R1 Draw. Looked like an even exchange.
R2 Bradley. Not a lot between them. Bradley busier + good flurry at the bell.
R3 JMM. Not much to separate the two. Lots of dodging, blocking, and countering.
R4 Jmm. Landing more and harder punches.
R5 Bradley. Slight edge to Bradley. More pressure.
R6 Bradley. Slightly busier more aggressive. Still not much landing for either.
R7 Bradley. Marquez just didn't do anything.
R8 Bradley. Getting ****y. Throwing a little more. Not a lot of damage, but Marquez being sluggish and inactive.
R9 JMM. Finally moving forward thworing punches.
R10 JMM. Doing a little more. Not much more than Bradley. Could go either way.
R11 JMM Letting his hands go. Bradley Coasting.
R12 JMM. Bradley on his bicycle.

Unfortunately, JMM is one of those fighters that's always getting robbed by the judges like Lara, Herrera, Whitaker, or Sergio Martinez. There's either something about their boxing style that judges don't like or they are always the lesser hyped fighter who's down on the scorecards before they enter the ring. I had Marquez winning the third Pacquiao fight and getting robbed too.

That's cool that you scored the fight that way. I'll now know to not respect your ability to score rounds. Haven't watched the fight in a while and both 1 and 12 were both easy Bradley rounds.

Breh, you need to brush up on how to score rounds, effective aggression and ring generalship.
